The local Kroger canceled my pickup order I had placed yesterday to pick up today. They said that they will start it up again on Tuesday. They gave no reason.
So, I went there to get my order myself. The only things that were in short supply was the meat section (basically all gone) which we didn't need anyway. Some areas like yogurt, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, bread, were in short supply but still had enough.
I wore rubber gloves so I wouldn't be touching the nasty cart with my bare hands. I didn't notice one other person with gloves on, including employees.
We have enough stuff to last a month if we have to. Maybe longer. I didn't go crazy because it's only the 2 of us at home now. The store was sort of crowded but it's Saturday and I don't usually go on a Saturday so I don't know if it was normal or not.
Nothing seems too much out of the ordinary around these parts.
It was 2 or 3 nights ago when we heard about the toilet paper crisis(?) so we went to Samsclub to get some. They were completely out and they usually have enough, floor to ceiling, for everybody in the city to wipe their asses for a year. Where did it all go? Kroger had plenty. I got a 12-pack and a 6-pack of paper towels.
I'll just be hanging out at home watching movies for the next couple of weeks or until this mess is over.
Here, it didn't help to hear that 2 people tested positive. I'm sure that caused the big run at our stores. One guy caught it on an Egyptian cruise.

First case in AL was in your old home Montgomery from a Maxwell employee ... had one Friday in county next to me and then one in Huntsville reported today.

Most conferences here cancelled. My Lyft driver told me Thursday that the strip was stone dead. I heard casinos are at 10% capacity, but I can not confirm that number. Lots of people here don?t work, so business as usual for them.
Vegas will shut down any time now. I'm surprised they haven't already. Those casinos are the absolute worst places to be under the current situation. What's worse, name one place worse?
