With the final tomorrow between SD state and UNLV that means ncaa has to take winner of this game............that leaves Wyo and Utah as the other 2 possibles......Do you guys think Wyoming and utah will get in??????

Hey Maverick. Casper huh? That's where I was born and raised. I haven't been there for 17 years though. I am still a huge Cowboy fan but as the other posters stated, I just don't see the MWC receiving more than two bids. If Utah could have won last night and won the conference tourny Wyo would have made it. It sucks because Wyo finished in 1st place and beat Utah twice this season. Oh well, maybe next year. Mr. G
Neither. I moved away after 8th grade. I went to Junior High at Dean Morgan and Elem at Mtn View. I still have a few friends I keep in touch with that live there. Someday I will go back to visit. Where did you go to school? By the way, collegerpi.com still has Wyo in, so if there isn't any upsets today, we might make it. Last year they were right on 64 of 65 teams.
Nope. I think if South Carolina wins today they will steal a bid from a fringe team like Wyoming or Southern Illinois.
I don't know about that. Has a team ever finished 6-10 in conference play and received an at-large bid? I think S. Carolina is in the same position as Iowa. They have to win their conference tourny to get in.
Well Mav, there might be a chance now. Kent, Xavier, and Penn did their jobs and LSU and S. Carolina lost. I know a lot of posters think there is no way MWC will get three teams in but the conference is ranked #7 right behind the Big ten, which will get 6 bids. It's hard to leave out the regular season champ of a conference that is ranked that high. I'm not saying they are in, but I think they have a good chance! We'll find out tomorrow. Mr. G
I think Fla St was 6-10 in ACC a few years ago when they went. Actually, S Caro was 8-11 counting the tourney. They were tied at 57 with 29 seconds left so they were in it til the end. BTW, unless Iowa wins, the Big Ten will only get 5 teams. Minnesota has almost no chance. Will Butler get a bid??
I think if a team finishes below .500 in their league they shouldn't go. I think you're right about FSU, but that's only one in the last 10+ years. Butler has a shot along with S. Illinois and Bowling Green. Dickie V seems to have Butler is in and Digger has BG in. I don't know if Wyo will get in but I sure hope they do! Their RPI sux but as I stated before they won their conference and played played great on the road this year which is also a factor in the selection.
Mr. G. I went to crest hill, cy and nchs class of 1980 so I would have been in 8th grade in about 1976, I am 40 now. I also went to U of Wyo 1987 grad so I sure hope they get in tomorrow. That loss to SD State last night doesnt look so bad now after watching them play UNLV tonight. They will win handily if they dont blow it.
One of my best friends went to school at CY and both my brother and sister graduated from NCHS. They are 46 and 44. So you were at Wyo Univ. when the bball team made the sweet sixteen with Fennis Dembo and Eric Lekner. It's been a long time since the Cowboys have had any success in the NCAAs. College RPI, ESPN, and CBS Sportsline all have them in so who knows. Maybe they will make it. Mr. G

with wins over Xavier, Ok State, and Alabama. THey beat Iowa too, I am not sure if an Iowa win helps Missouri or hurts them today. The Virginia win looks like crap now too. I hope 21 wins and 10 wins in the BIG 12 will be good enough for an 8-9 game.

Thanks D. I'll tell ya, I was sweatin balls. Wyo was the last team revealed. They will have their hands full with the Zags, but hell, it's tourny time. Anything can happen!
mav.and g. you got a break even the mt.west pres said on the radio after the picks he was in shock because he was told that the mt.west would only get 2 teams,so good for you guys hope the do well,they are a much better team then they showed at times.
