This game shouldn't be close! I don't understand the line being under 21, yet it's 9.5.
Iowa can't tackle and has the slowest linebackers in the country.
Those big horses in the offensive line for Bucky will be blowing holes open all day for Gordon.
He went for 408 yards last week against a better defense than what he will see this week.
Bucky also has a strong defense and should have no trouble shutting down a plodding Mark Weisman and a terrible QB in Jake Rudock.
Don't see how Iowa keeps this within 3 touchdowns.
Anyone have any reasons as to why Wisky doesn't destroy Iowa on Saturday?

As BBC noted, Gordon's going to be pretty tired even though he played just 3 quarters against Nebraska.

If it's not Gordon running all over Iowa, it will be one of their other running backs.
Iowa is not a very good football team and I feel they get pounded this week.
Any chance you coming over for the Nebraska-iowa game this year?

Our plans changed and I'll be going to the game this year.

Mike--Its only 9.5 because of Iowa's great coaching--Kirk's at the helm.

:mj07::mj07:

That has to be it, Mark. Only reason I can think of. Superior coaching will overcome a lack of talent and speed every time...

grabbed a big chunk of Wisconsin -9.5 @ either -110 or -115 at a couple of my outs.
May add to it as the week goes on.

Weather is supposed to be warmer--hard to be colder than the sub-zero temps with windchill that we've had the last week--and some rain.

My kids have their fall performance of Junior Theater-- DeNero and Streep got nothing on my two--so I will be watching this game on the boob tube.....:toast:

I am taking the Hawks I heard Hayden is coming back to coach this game-visitors locker room being painted pink again. Boy do I miss the Fry days. Got an autographed picture of him addressed to me hanging above my desk looking at it right now-about ready to cry.
Hope your kids are more agile than you--have a great Thanksgiving.

My buddy and I were having a drink at the bar in what was then the Iowa River Power company in coralville when Fry walked in and sat down next to my buddy. It was 10:30 on a Tuesday night so the bar was empty but for a few others.
Both our jaws dropped to the floor as Hayden turned to us and said hello.
We found out he was on his way home from his office-- this was in the off season. He told us he was working late on some recruiting.
He had a whiskey and water and we asked if we could buy him another one.
He said no, one was all he wanted. He finished his drink, shook our hands and left.
Wish there were cell phones back then so I could have gotten a picture.

Hayden was very nice to us-- just a couple of undergrads having a beer in a bar and he takes the time to chat with us for 20 minutes.
Ferentz comes across as such a boring, vanilla kind of guy-- maybe he's not, I don't know-- but I just can't see him sitting in a bar chatting up the fans..

It's rainy and 36 here in Eastern Iowa this morning.
Forecast is for mid 40s and scattered showers all day.
I have 5 units on Bucky @-9.5 or -10.
Good luck if you tag along on this one....:toast:

Took Badgers -6.5 in first half. Hope they take start out strong today.
Wonder if there are books offer rushing yard prop play on Gordon.
He averages 190 yds per game so I guess 200 will be over and under.

my experience redsfann is this . the best looking bet on the board is most of the time a loser. Be careful.

There are more land mines (9-12) in this card today than I can remember this season, but Im not sure this is one of them. My mathematical numbers have this as W-13 but that's too close to the number to recommend a wager.

Will sit on the sidelines and wait for a better chance, like a tight first half and grabbing wisky at less than a TD or a blowout and snagging Ia + 20 or more.

Between Green Bay and Iowa City
I know my Hawkeyes and they are terrible.

I think Iowa has bipolar tendencies. I don't think Iowa is very good. I don't think Iowa is terrible. I would definitely be more surprised if Iowa won zero of their remaining games through the Bowl season than I would be if they won three of their remaining games through the Bowl season (i.e., 8-5, at least). I don't think Iowa is terrible at home in this game today. I am leaning to Wisconsin putting up over 30 points, which will be too much for Iowa, and I have been leaning to a wager on Wisconsin today, but I just have a feeling Iowa makes Wisconsin earn most of their advantages today, so I'll pass. GO HAWKS!
