i don't think wisconsin is your typical #1 team. they have benefited from a pretty weak big 10 in my opinion. this far into the season and they are still somewhat unproven to me. don't get me wrong, i do think that they are a very strong team, a team that can certainly make the final four. they do it with great coaching, good d, patience on o, depth, upperclassmen, and one star. a great formula for success, but just not sure they have the fire power to play with the "A" games of a couple of the other top teams.

26-2
quality wins in december:
winthrop, @marquette, pitt, @georgia
quality wins since:
oh st, @ill
other 10 conference wins:
purdue, mich, 2 each- minn, iowa, penn st, n'west

they become #1 yesterday, bo ryan brings out the red #1 foam finger and throws a little party, a day later they go on the road to a hostile environment to play a well coached team that has won 2 games since losing 4 in a row, and knows that this win may punch their ticket. don't forget the possibility of wisconsin looking ahead to the #1 vs #2 showdown on sunday. most will say this won't happen because bo ryan is too good, too many uperclassmen, etc; but they are just kids.

will watch this one with interest. be careful and good luck on whatever side you choose.

Wisconsin will win this one ugly... They have too much depth, too much experience, and they have the best player on the court in Alando Tucker when they need to make a play.

Izzo's game planning and the home court is the only reason that this game stays close at all, because Wisconsin is better at all 5 positions...

For what it's worth, IMO yesterday's Kansas v. KState spread was just as fishy. KU by 6, c'mon, it seemed as though Vegas was on their knees for KU money. KU had never lost in that gym (19 years), and the last time they played in Lawrence, KU crushed State. Please dont tell me you think Kstate was at home yesterday and their home court counts for something - it doesnt. I played Kstate thinking the same thing, and guess what, I lost my money. Anyway, if you think Wisconsin rolls, play em, I dont know about traps anymore...

I think you guys are mind-fu cking yourselves too much sometimes...every game where it looks too easy is called a trap by someone everyday...yet the past few weeks most of these so called traps have been hitting...

go with the flow imo

Ya...I'm starting to believe this whole so called "trap" thing is a joke! All of that gets you second guessing way too much which avoids you from taking the team you know yourself will cover. I've seen too many times this season a team getting way too much love and everyone thinks Vegas is begging for money on their side and in the end the fock'n team ends up covering anyway which is the team you liked initially until you start reading all the consensus sites and everyone's comments which changes your mind. My advice is to just go with who "YOU" think is going to cover....screw all of these sites and comments. I like Wisconsin tonight because they ARE the better team..period!! This line is so low because State is 16-1 at home and coming off a 32 pt win! Also, the home team has dominated this series lately. It'll be close tonight, but I don't see Wisky going into the Ohio State game off a loss.

exactly RS...don't get me wrong, State can win str8 up at home, almost any decent Big10 can at home...but Wisconsin should win this game more often than state would in Lansing...

GL with your wager tonight wareagle, BUT I have been fading mich st all season away from home, but I will not touch them at home, they are a totally different team. I dont know how they find ways to keep on winning there but they do.

Wisc and Ohio St being ranked #1 is like Ohio St being #1 in football. They are the only two teams that are ranked in their conference and they are both #1. Every other major conference has at least 3 top 25 teams. I might by the stretch of my imagination see Wisc at #1 (not really) but no way can Ohio St be above Fla. Wisc beats them by 3 at Wisc but Fla blew them out two weeks earlier and NC had beat them by 9 a couple of weeks before that. What is this love affair the polls have with the Big 10? I wouldn't be surprised to see both Wisc and Ohio St out by the second round of March Madness. There are some pretty good teams that will make up the bottom 8 this year and anyone in the second round will be a lot tougher than what they've been seeing in the bottom of the Big 10. It would be easy to make a case for Fla, UCLA, N C to be higher than Ohio St. Looking forward to the NCAA because both of these teams could be way over valued.

While I definitely think tonight's game will be very close....I think a team such as Wisconsin wins their first 2 games in the Ncaas.

Bo Ryan is one of the best coaches in the nation, senior leadership, and great defense is usually a pretty good recipe for success in the dance.

Even being a Badger fan, I would not be shocked to see them lose their next two. On the road in the Big Ten is never an easy task. Here's hoping that Mich St can underachieve one more time.

gl to all.

We can find a flaw in every team that is in the top team. I did not see anyone take a shot at Florida who was down 18 at home to a weak Alabama team.

The line is a head scratcher but UW matches up very well with MSU. The key player in the game is Landry. He's a lock-down defender, and I assume he'll be on Neitzel. MSU goes as Neitzel goes.
