With the first week of Pre in the books...just some observations.

Oakland...Unless something miraculous happens, I just don't see Brooks as their QB solution. They do need a somewhat mobile QB, but if Shell works on the O-Line (OL Gaff' gettin used to other side). Brooks is lookin' scramble first and with Moss and Porter(don't expect him to be traded) Oak has to have someone to be able to stretch opposing D's.

Washington...as I said earlier, I think it's gonna be a long season for the'skins. Brunell is "the old dog" tryin' to learn new tricks.

NOrleans...Pleasantly surprised with Reggie, but still kinda a wait and see on how Drew's rehab has progressed as he gets more playin' time. Before passing judgment.

Tennessee...I think Vince will do well, and will eventually get the nod over Volek. Fisher drafted well, as he actually got a bigger, stronger, younger version of "Air Mcnair".

Arizona...Matt's in camp (did like Green's speech on negotiations...never saw Denny with that attitude in Minny)...I still think this is a great sleeper team in the "NFC Weak"...Seahawks were able to sneak up on ever body LY...I think 'Zona can do the same TY.

Dallas...I don't think its gonna be too much longer before Parcells tires of "The Toure de Terrell" and goes to the front office to have Jerry deal with it. Bill knows he has a chance in the division this year, and doesn't need the distractions.

That's enough for now, I'll probably have more later after lookin' at some other teams;

moss is already pissy about brooks.
face it, sport goofy was crap at NOR and he's gonna be crap here. sure, he'll have 1 or 2 games a year where he throws for 3td's and 270 yds and runs....but otherwise he's gonna be killer. and oaktown doesnt really have a backup QB. maybe they will be able to grab mediocre guy off waivers later (josh mccown??).

i suspect Art is going to run as much as possible this year with lamont.

doesnt help to have a pissy and injured Portis either. they have good TE, WR and defense so they will hang around but Brunell could be the X-factor that hurts this team.

NOrleans...Pleasantly surprised with Reggie, but still kinda a wait and see on how Drew's rehab has progressed as he gets more playin' time. Before passing judgment.

wow, you're the first person i have read that didnt gush all over the place about the greatness that is reggie bush. he's good, but it *is* early....agree here.

Tennessee...I think Vince will do well, and will eventually get the nod over Volek. Fisher drafted well, as he actually got a bigger, stronger, younger version of "Air Mcnair".

i'm a VY fan but i think it will be a while before he starts, unless volek gets hurt. tenny will have to suck pretty bad this year for VY to get many snaps. and that's a good thing for the titans.

only problem is when Warner goes down with an injury, who do you turn to? navarre sucks and mccown may get cut. green just doesnt seem to like the guy. leinart wont be ready for a while since he foolishly held out.

Dallas...I don't think its gonna be too much longer before Parcells tires of "The Toure de Terrell" and goes to the front office to have Jerry deal with it. Bill knows he has a chance in the division this year, and doesn't need the distractions.

i wish the media didnt care so much about TO.
i'm sick of hearing about him.

I've never seen a starting QB in the preseason look as bad as Brooks last night. ...And there's really no upside to him at this point. Might as well get Walter in there - at least he can improve.

FYI...Mccown is backing up Kitna in Detroit this year. If Warner does go down early its navarre's job to lose to leinart.
