There is hope for basketball bettors who are going through withdrawal.
It?s called the WNBA, and betED.com has lines available for every game on the 13-team league?s schedule, which runs until September.
Go to betED.com, where you?ll find WNBA odds, including Halftime lines, updated daily throughout the summer.
The league released its weekly power rankings Tuesday, and the defending champion Detroit Shock (11-4) retain the top spot, despite losing two straight games, and three of their last four.
Detroit should be particularly concerned after Sunday's 71-68 loss to the San Antonio Silver Stars, who were missing two starters, while Detroit got Cheryl Ford back after a seven-game absence (knee injury).
The Indiana Fever (11-4) would have probably overtaken the Shock atop the power rankings had they not dropped two of their past four games, both against the Connecticut Sun. Though she's putting in an MVP-caliber season, Tamika Catchings is struggling with her shooting, but the Fever are getting good bench help.
The Sacramento Monarchs (11-6), whose coach, Jenny Boucek, was named coach of the West All-Stars this week, continues to ride its defense, so much so that they are pulling out wins even when the offense is sputtering. Yolanda Griffith has been hampered by several aches and pains, which is why Rebekkah Brunson's monster performances inside are so impressive.
San Antonio (9-6) is playing without stars Becky Hammon and Ruth Riley but still managed to snap an eight-game losing streak to the Shock. San Antonio is playing solid team defense.
The Phoenix Mercury (9-7) have held up without Diana Taurasi, who has sat out a two-game suspension. The Mercury's up-tempo style forces opponents to change their style of basketball.
