Dee Cantner has to be the worst ref I have ever seen. This bitch has no clue how to ref a game. She should be in the WNBA not the NBA. I would like to know if anybody has noticed just how terribble the women refs are.

I watched the Milw/Port game on Friday night and the worst call of the game was from the woman official. It was a cruical call at the end of the game that really killed a late Milw rally. She called an offensive foul on Tim Thomas against Damon Stoudamire when Damon was clearly shuffling his feet. That would have put Milw within 3 with about a minute to go.
Of course I dont think 1 game is a big enough sample to dump her.

Agree with that. I couldnt believe it the first time I saw a woman ref earlier this season. They need to do away with that soon before it causes major problems.
The 2 calls Kantner made at the end of the Sac-Dallas game were crap.
First, Funderburke's block was clean. Then, to make up for it, she gets the foul on Dallas on the other end.
What is also laughable is how ESPN treated it -- if a male ref had made those calls, they would have ripped the ref for the calls, but she is given a pass from the cock-knockers at ESPN.
In the end, we shouldn't be surprised by this, though -- the NBA wants to fall in line with everyone else and hire for diversity, not quality, purposes.
I would assume more women will be in the NBA in the future.

Personally, I don't care for female booth announcers for NFL football either. But then, I'm old-fashioned. I think the female sideline announcers are OK, I just don't care for 'em doing play-by-play.

There are a number of male refs in the WNBA -- the final female/male split, I'm not sure of.
As for female announcers, I don't really care one way or another -- Pam ?, who has been doing smaller D1 football games on ESPN isn't too good right now, but she's new, and there are plenty of bad male announcers out there, so I guess I'm OK with that.

When women declare that they don't like men refs in THEIR sports and want them replaced with women, that's progress. When men declare the same thing it becomes 'sexist dribble'. Hmmm. It was Mike Callahan and not Kantner who made the call on the Fundurburke block. Both calls were bad but if you want to claim makeup call then it was Kantner making up for her male counterpart.

I believe the term is "drivel" not "dribble", although in this forum, dribble does seem more appropriate.
That Nowitzki foul on Stojakovic's shot was absolute crap. Just a good play.
It's one thing if it's marginal. But there was simply nothing there.
