I took Halep to win the French the other day at +190, dimes just released her at +150, i think she has a great chance of winning. Pova has been slow out of the gate but has been nails in sets 2-3. Maybe there will be a prop for the first set.

No. I threw that in there purely to raise my return on halep about 40%.

I took Halep to win the French the other day at +190, dimes just released her at +150, i think she has a great chance of winning. Pova has been slow out of the gate but has been nails in sets 2-3. Maybe there will be a prop for the first set.

yeah, this will be extremely interesting. the line opened at +145 on halep, and i bet it right off because i thought for sure it would drop. a few hours later, come back and it's +160. it's going the wrong way, i think.

sharap has come back 3x this tournament in what i call a doppler pattern. she beat halep by this same pattern a couple weeks ago. this time, i don't think that will happen. if she drops the first set to halep, i think she will lose.

i think the right line is pick 'em or very slight lean to halep. halep hasn't lost a set. this kind of skating-along-the-precipice can be strength or weakness...remember notre dame 2 years ago, gets waxed by alabama. but sharapova's not faking it, she's stronger than these others. difference might be is that sharap is just a little tired from three setters, and that halep doesn't give stuff away the way even bouchard does.

i think halep is going to win, but the right line at very most is halep 1.8. it can't be that because of the public, but i think that's the true line on this match. if sharap doesn't come out guns blazing, and she hasn't yet, i think she loses. h is very, very smart. she might even have been sandbagging in this same match 2 tournaments back when she played sharap. i doubt it. but she will have learned from that defeat. she will know that you cant rely on sharap to beat herself, you're going to have to keep up the pressure. sharap is very used to coming from behind, and to others breaking down. that's why this should be a great match. these are the two who don't give up and don't give stuff away, and are mentally their own best friends rather than worst enemies. the final fact is that has has gotten her serve to where she's helping herself with aces along the way, whereas sharap is not. at best sharap is avoiding double faults. i really see this about 52/48 halep, but the public won't see it that way until halep gets her first win over sharapova. h hasn't dropped a set in this tournament. nearly everything is on her side going into this, all the small factors. sharap at her best can beat her, she's a little heavier and deeper, but h is quicker and just as strong mentally, and can work her back and forth. those little giveaways bouchard gave sharap today she won't get any of. h doesn't beat herself. i think she wins. ... of course, it will be her first major final, that can always be dangerous.
