Womens & Totals week of 2/18

Got back from MSP today--good trip-Manny's Steak was great and the 28 oz bone in ribeye --$83 was great. Had a great birthday supper with my son and his family. 1 of his kids had the the Manny hamburger $30 wow!
Sad news--my mom who would have been 98 in 3 weeks-who I put in a care center 3 weeks ago- passed away late last nite-got the call at 11:00 pm last nite at the hotel. So to Iowa on Thursday to do the funeral etc. Doing alot of stuff on the phone now to get ready for that. Might/maybe put a few games up Mon-Wed just to get my mind on something else.

Sorry to hear this Hawk, what a full, wonderful life she had. My mom and dad are both 89 and I thank God everyday to still have them in my life. Deepest sympathies and God bless...

Sorry to hear about your mom passing, but she had a long life, and if she didn't need to go into nursing facility until the last month, then she was wayy ahead of the game.

Lost my 89 yr old mom last summer, long-time dementia sufferer, I was her caregiver for her last 6+ yrs... and the last 6-8 months esp were tough.. losing her mobility and eventually most everything else, hospice helped a lot, but only come over 2x wk, so it's a tough deal any way it shakes out... my sincere sympathies to you and your family.

Remember the good times with her, and keep them alive in your heart... pass them down to your grandkids.
