I think they play harder wanting to win one big for him?

they played lazy against Tulsa..Didn't want to hit the glass or post up ..nor did they want any contact..

they shot terrible as well...

any idea what pace Wichita State will open with...52 a game in Conference may only get 45 if Conn really wants to play..Then do they get their 85 as they should

If Geno is there I know he pushes them...Dailey was nothing but a rah rah head coach in his play vs Tulsa and the team did what they did as I stated above..

-37'/124'

that total is supposed to be cherry picking...as it is no telling...

Not sure the motivation for UCONN. This team is still searching for an identity. As the run and gun 3 point shooting is becoming pervasive in the game UCONN has not accepted it. That is a big reason they lost to U of L. Their is not enough talent in the American conference to beat UCONN. Even if you took the best off of each team and made a team they still would not compete vs UCONN. This, to me, looks like a UCONN team trying to figure out what they want... Are they going to win by shooting3's, lockdown defense, rebounding etc... When they are working on the 3's we see it... We see the scores. Wichita State could not beat an Intermural team; but I guess we are not really betting on Wichita State we are either betting on UCONN or against UCONN....

This from the paper today:
With the regular season quickly winding down, UConn is looking to use Tuesday?s game as more preparation for the conference tournament and NCAA Tournament. The Huskies are trying to sustain the success they?ve had nearly all of February, while fine-tuning aspects of their game ahead of the postseason.

?We?ve never been to Wichita, so that?ll be kind of neat,? associate head coach Chris Dailey said. ?We always look at these longer trips as an opportunity just like the NCAA Tournament, where you have a quick turnaround, you don?t know the area and you might not know the team as well. We?ve just played them one time.?

I, will play Wichita States team total under once the game starts. Hoping to get anything near 50.

Geno Auriemma wants Shocker fans to sell out Koch Arena for Tuesday?s game
https://www.kansas.com/sports/college/wichita-state/article226689539.html

?If you?ve never seen us play in person, come out and watch us because a strange thing might happen... you could win. And then that?s like the greatest thing ever,? Auriemma said. ?Every time we go to a place for the very first time, obviously I want to win, but the next best thing to us winning is if they ever win. You get a sellout and we?re there, how many of those people are coming back because they were at that game? That?s what I always hope for.?

While a win for Wichita State (11-14) over No. 3 UConn (24-2) would certainly qualify as strange, at least this season as coach Keitha Adams? rebuilding job is in its second year, but Adams has the same design as Auriemma for what can come from the game.

?It?s a great opportunity for us to get people here that haven?t been here before,? Adams said. ?It?s a great opportunity to have them in our building and for fans to maybe come see us play for the first time, too. What I want to do is build this thing where I want people to be fired up about our team and how we play. So this is great that it?s going to be bring in new people in the building, the key is that we have them come back.?

For Auriemma, trips like the one to Wichita on Tuesday is nothing new. For the last decade-plus, UConn has been an attraction to whatever city and arena they play in. But when it?s a first-time visit, the allure is even stronger.

WSU hopes girls basketball teams and coaches from around the area will help pack the arena, as well as any basketball fans in general who can have a chance to watch Auriemma and his finely-tuned machine play for the first time in person.

?Over the years, we?ve been in these situations quite a lot where we?re going some place for the very first time,? Auriemma said. ?Sometimes there isn?t a basketball tradition and they?re not quite sure or they don?t really understand, but when we go to a place where they really appreciate basketball (like Wichita State), our kids get jacked up about it.?

Auriemma is aware of the Koch Arena crowd because of the success the WSU men?s program has had in recent history. The UConn coach also said he is an avid college baseball fan and also knows the Shockers from their tradition of success with the baseball program.

?I?m anxious to go out there because I?ve never been there,? Auriemma said. ?I want to see what it feels like.?

I just spoke with the Ticketing office- There are lowel bowl tickets let available and they are expecting walk-ups to be able to get tickets at game time.... Just FYI.
