Oh I guess I was mistaken because I had to watch a replay of every one of his damn shots.:mj16: Hey I've got an idea.:mj03: How about showing the LEADERS. Oh that's right we can't do that we have to have Woods shoved in our faces every second of every televised golf tournament. I'm almost to the point that I can't watch this chit anymore.:mj16:

you should be capping bases instead of watching that kid walk around in a field with a bunch of rich people watching his ass.

As I've been expecting, seems the worm has turned in bases. Hit them pups!

You dont get it do you.

Let me know how high the ratings would be come Sunday if all CBS showed was Grame Storm.

Tiger is whose now by ESPN. He is the reason the purses are high. He is the reason golf is what it is now. Is not because of Mickelson. I would rather watch tiger chip balls on the practice green then some of the clowns on the leaderboard.

Yes i watch golf a lot more than anyone on this forum as well. Theres a reason the tournaments pay tiger a sum of money to come to their events. (An appearance fee). It draws interest and buzz. So what they show everyone of his shots , the guy was at 3 under for part of the day. Even at 1 under he hit a 653 yard hole in 2.. Thats good golf. If you want to go watch grame storm or westwood turn on the golf channel at 9 am each day when the european tour is on.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but were you or were you not in the Bonds thread bitching about seeing only him?

You see the problem to me is no person is bigger than the sport as a whole. So what happens when Mr. Woods retires? The game goes to shit? I don't disagree that he is the best ever, ratings are better, purses higher, AND he is the most fun to watch. BUT, mix in the fukcin leaders for shit sakes! Of course YOU would rather watch Tiger chip than some other guys play, you're not a true Golf fan. You're a bandwagon fan plain and simple. You're the same guy that walks into the bar and says "how's Tiger doing?". I really dislike those people. :nono:

YOU say he's good for the game, I say he isn't.....for a whole list of reasons I don't feel like typing.

Took the words right out of my mouth. Except the part about being the best ever. He might be some day, but not right now.

I am not a huge golf fan, but I am not your average joe sports fan either. I like the game, I appreciate the game. I enjoy watching a tight match or something really special happening...

You cant tear me away from majors or shit like the Ryder Cup, but I am far from an expert or super fan like some here...

Love him or Hate him Tiger has done more good for the game of golf than bad. I dont see how that can even be argued.

That could very easily be argued.

But seeing as how you aren't much of a Golf fan, you (probably) wouldn't understand.

Im a bandwagon golf fan? Is that why im second in the golf picks for the year? Where did i say i like tiger? I just said theres a reason the coverage comes on early.. theres a reason he gets apperance fees. Theres a reason pgatour.com followed every shot of tiger. Mr Avid golf fan why dont you go watch the John Deere Classic. Im pretty sure i know more about the pga tour than anyone here.

To the people who say tiger is bad for the game :mj07: get a clue. If you cant make it into the limited fields, then play better. Guys like John Daly are the same as Wie.. they are circus acts. Tiger has brought so much to the pga tour. I promise you if tiger wanted to start his own tour the top golfers would go with him. Theres a reason tiger started the AT&T tourney .. and theres a reason it was a huge success in like 2 months time.

The pga tour needs tiger a lot more than tiger would need the pga tour. Check the purses pre tiger and check them now. Ask tim finchem how much the tv contracts are now. Go check the ratings also when tiger isnt in the final pairing.

Im not a golf fan at all but i see your point Agent. Its like my Lebron James rant. It gets to be to much and you start finding yourself hating the guy. They won't let up either. Its just drilled down your throat over and over again.

See, your argument is that Tiger is good for the PGA Tour, good for ratings, good for purses. I do not disagree with that. MY point is, believe it or not, the tour isn't the whole of Golf. There are more douche bags crowding the courses that have no clue of the rules, etiquette, tradition or anything of the game everyday cause of this guy. AND they all play about as fast as he does which is a near death march. Golf now has the Nike syndrome which doesn't really appeal to me. Hardly a sole fixes a ball mark or rakes a trap anymore. They were brought into the game by Tiger, as opposed to the old days when you caddied and were taught the rules and etiquette.

All this being said, I like Tiger, A LOT. It isn't his fault they shove him down our throat every week and his talent is unparalleled.

Kobiyashi did the same thing for Competitive Eating. It used to be about integrity and manners, now hoards of ignorant fans all think they can down 50 dogs or 90 White Castles. I can't even enjoy a nice sparring match with a buddy a DQ's without some punk trying to show us up. ...And they seldom throw their wrappers away or tip the cashiers like they should. The old school touch is lost.

That said, I like Kobiyashi A LOT. It's not his fault that he's shoved down our throats (no pun intended) every week and that his appetite is unparalleled.

The way Tiger started today, looks like the title of this thread will be spot on.

It will also open the game up to more minorities.. which will then lead to better athletes playing golf. Im sorry but tiger is great for the tour. If bums like rich beem want to complain that tigers tourney was a limited one, then STFU. Because they have those bullshit tournies like the one in mexico and the one steve flesch one last week in tahoe.. for those losers who arent good enough to qualify for the real events :scared

Tiger is great to watch. Just because i said i like watchin chip balls doesnt mean hes my favorite golfer. My favorites are Adam Scott, Ernie Els, Bubba (UGA) and Paul Casey..
