Picks and Pans for the 2001 Masters

Singh +230 *
Woods - 270

I like the underdog here, as Vijay played very well [Tiger has too] but -270 very steep.

1. Azinger -115 *
Toms -105

Azinger has been slowly rounding into form, and will be a fan favorite

2. Mike Weir -125 ***

Sergio Garcia 105

I feel Weir will be challenging for the title come Sunday.

3. Brad Faxon -105
Stewart Cink -115 *

Cink will be there for the last 9 holes come Sunday.

4. Ian Woosnam -115 *
Nick Faldo -105

Where are you, Fanny ??

5. Mark Calcavechia - 130 *
Fred Couples +110

Calc has quietly been bringing his game back.

6. Olazabal -105 - no play
Montgomery -115

Former champ not playing well, and Monty will not play well again. Better matches available

7. Woods -280
Love +220 *

Love could win outright, and -280 is a very steep price to pay.

8. Norman - 165 *

Faldo + 145

Norman in pretty fine fettle, Faldo not.

9. Duval +105 **

Els -125

Duval surprized us twice last year, once by challenging here, and once by playing well off an injury at the British, till the meltdown in the bunker at 17. I am sure he has something up his sleeve again. Els, I read in on of the posts, has changed his grip, always a hard thing to do. {WHY??}
I think a small wager on Duval to win at 15/1 may be in order

10. Budweiser +110
Heineken -125

To be consumed whilst watching the final round.

Any comments or thoughts?

My opinion-think about who you are betting against-TIGER. Vijay has been playing extremely well-but why go ag a man who LIVES for these situations. He has won 3 straight Majors. There are PLENTY of better plays on the board.
Good Luck
