Towering striker Jan Koller is already doubtful and the Czech?s cannot afford to lose another scorer in Baros. With the injury problems facing the Czech team and the fact that Italy needs a good showing, makes me lean towards Italy at +110. This will be the smallest bet I make on the day, but my predicted score on this game is 2-1 Italy.

The big game for American?s is today and this should be one barn burner of a football match. The bottom line is if Italy wins and the USA wins, the American?s advance, even after their 1st game disaster. Beating a small African nation, who has less money and practice facilities than a person from Buffalo will not be an easy task. This Ghanese team has played solid ball, only allowing 2 goals and beating the Czech team; the same team that manhandled the USA. Plus, if Ghana wins they advance themselves, making this the game of the day. Both teams will be missing key players due to suspensions. Ghana will be without their two goal-scorers in their last game, Muntari and Gyan, while the Americans will not have veteran centre-back Eddie Pope and defensive midfielder Mastroeni. This American team came to the World Cup to advance and I am going to take the +200 offered at BetWWTS. My predicted score is 1-0 America with the goal coming in the 2nd half.

This is the most important game to me Wednesday, as my team is Australia and I will be rooting for them like mad. They have a real shot at advancing, as they only need a draw on this game and that is what they will play for. I expect Australia to play with only 1 striker and put 5-6 men in the back. Croatia on the other hand needs to win this game to advance. They will be playing 3 men forward and will be very aggressive. This game has 2-1 written all over it and I am taking the Over 2.5 +125 from BetWWTS. I do like Australia as well in this game at +225, so take BOTH the Dog bets and let?s win one of them.

Brazil does need to win this game and Japan cannot qualify unless they score 10 goals and Croatia and Australia score none. The chances are extremely unlikely advances, yet this team will pray for pride and try to win this game. Brazil on the other hand will be playing substitutes and trying to tweak things as they get ready for the next round. Frankly this is a stay away game for me, as Brazil should win it easy, but they just won?t care.
