A lot of pressure on the host country today! The Germans will be eager to prove to their fans that they deserve 6-1 odds to win it all. German captain Ballack will miss today's opener. This will put even more pressure on the young Germans' offensive attack. Costa Rica has injuries to deal with too, but the Ticos have nothing to lose in this matchup. They are huge underdogs. If they can score the first goal in this game, self-doubt might begin to creep in for the Germans. I think Germany will pull out a close victory in the end, but it won't surprise me one bit if the game ends up in a tie, or better yet, a shocking upset! I think the goal and a half is a gift in this spot. Good luck to all!
