so, i was bored today....(again)

and i decided to do a bit of polishing up on my world soccer knowledge.

let's see what i fould pretty astounding.

ENGLISH PREMIER:

dominating team in the 1980's : liverpool
dominating team in the 90's : man u
team to come on strong lately, late 90's: arsenal

am i generalising too much here to say arsenal will be one of the top teams to reach the finals for the next 3-4 years....????

SCOTTISH PREMIER:

been following this league since i was a kid....
two teams that stand out:

rangers and celtic.

man, if you had bet these teams at home...or parlayed them over the last 3 years....geez..............

home records:
celtic
2002 - 03 : 15 - 1 - 1 ( W/D/L)
2001 - 02 : 18 - 1- 1
2000 - 01 : 17 - 1- 1
1999 - 00: 12 - 3 - 3
SCARY.

rangers:
2002 - 03 : 14 - 0 - 0 ( W/D/L)
2001 - 02 : 14 - 4- 1
2000 - 01 : 15 - 0- 4
1999 - 00 : 16 - 1 - 1

damn, that's a nasty home recrod these two have.

and for FOUR years now????

we always knew they were heads above the rest.

i also think i've found a small way to make some coin on soccer....

hardly see anyone betting on soccer games in this forum....

i don't blame ya.....3 outcomes to one game diminishes your chance of winning.... ( hockey anyone...???)

but focus on those certain teams that win and tie at home...or on the road....or LOSE and TIE and DON'T win either at home or on the road....get rid of ONE outcome and you may have a winner.

i'll have more on world soccer league games for this weekend later.

Next time you have some spare time research Asian odds betting. A team will have a half goal start and sometimes one and a half goals start over their opponent, hence cutting out the draw. Like betting the puck line in ice hockey.

Look if I have time over the weekend I will do an article on the subject. I have promised Jack here at the site that I would post more articles on sports, so this may be the opportunity to start.
