to take your post in another direction- i know i can offer an opinion on "most disappointing movie"- meaning a movie that got great reviews, had great actors/actresses- yet when i watched it, i was totally disappointed:

the virgin suicides

for all the hype about how good it was supposed to be- man was i disappointed. was expecting much better.

To this day....I still think the worst movie I ever saw was

Friday the 13th Part 8 "Jason Takes Manhattan"

I'll bet its been 10 years since I saw it at the theatire.....but I'll never forget how absolutely horrible it was.

There have been alot of sh*t movies, but the worst has to have been "Fargo" !!!

That movie sucked so much ass, it turned into Pamela Anderson!

Without a doubt Caddyshack 2...

Considering #1 is one of my favorite movies, what a horrific attempt #2 was... it seeemed like they weren't even trying on #2, just wanted to cash in on the success of # 1...

My 2 cents on Fargo... It is one of those movies people either Love or Hate, Some people actually put it as one of their favorite all time movies, personally I thought it was crap. Can't stand the movie, thought it was stupid!!

That's it, thats the list

That's it, thats the list

The worst movie I have ever seen is THE BIG HIT. It was horrible. The #2 loser is DROP DEAD FRED. Other bad movies:

Donnie Darko.....never got it, demon rabbit? Divine intervention?

anything shown on LIFETIME...the men are all drunks and abuse thier wifes, or they cheat on them. The most sexist channel on cable.

Cool as Ice...Vanilla Ice's big movie premier. Joke. Also that movie with Brian Bosworth, can't remember the name.

Any movie with Madonna, Britteny, or Maria Carey (caveat Dick Tracy it was ok for a kid flick, cool costumes)

Final Destination....I can't believe there's a sequel.

Judge Dredd....dare I say: Dreadful along with COBRA, anything that Stallone did except ROCKY and RAMBO was pretty bad.

Adventures of Pluto Nash....(speachless)

Barb wife....go ahead and include Pam Anderson with Madonna and the others....good movie on mute.

Showgirls....great if you have fast forward and slow motion, but skip the dialog if you wish to keep your brian from melting. Same for Wild Things. Both have excellent T&A

Battlefield Earth, Waterworld, Wild Wild West, Last Action Hero, or any other big name, weak plot big speical effect movie.

Well, as I see it you got bad movies like Encino Man or Booty Call or Godzilla where they all go in knowing, to an extent, that they're not making a great movie, but they're going for a few yucks and hope some folks find it funny or exciting.

But, for a movie to be really bad, I think it has to take itself seriously. I consider "Field of Dreams" one of the worst movies ever. It's schmaltzy and hokey and hammy and boring and stupid and so falsely "touching" and it does it all with such earnestness. It's a vomit-inducing movie thats in a whole different class of badness than something like Encino Man. I'd put "Braveheart" and maybe "Titanic" right in the same shitheap with it. The only thing that saved those two from being as bad as "Field of Dreams" was that they killed off the really annoying people at the end. Although I would have like to have seen the old lady in Titanic die too. Don't get me started on "The Natural".

I loved Fargo, by the way. It's Top Ten for me. Just goes to show its a matter of taste.

All of these choices, with the exception of Field of Dreams, seem like excellent picks but still not near these 3:

1) Leonard Part 6 - if you haven't seen it yet try to get someone else to pay for it and see how truly bad a film can be. Cosby must want to hang himself everytime someone mentions this film.

2) Stop or My Mom Will Shoot - it seems like there should be a category of bad Stallone movies by themselves but this one takes top honor...

3) Almost Heroes - Farley... Matthew Perry, or Chandler as he is better know, what could be better. Actually the question is, what could possibly be worse. Even in the attempt of getting wasted halfway through the movie that was still not enough to make the film even slightly entertaining.

More to come...
