The article stated Oklahoma had mucho crime? Thats a joke. You want to see some crime? Come to Jacksonville, FL. I think Florida attracts scumbags from up and down the east coast and Jville is the first stop. Add in 400,000 minority's which are predominataly low income and you get murder, theft and drug dealing. Lovely place.

It is what it is. Hard to sugarcoat but I tried. Yea and the Lady was black in the movie theater. Not politically correct to mention that fact. I know. Did I mention I have half black grandchildren that I love to death and would die for. Chill man. You think you know me but you dont. Because I mention she was black I am a racist. Did I mention she was a fat ass probably 300lbs? Damn now I am prejudice of fat people.The fact is 80% of the crime here is commited by 40% of the population that are minority. Probably mostly due to the economic condition they find themselves in. But that does not change statistic's. Jacksonville crime is bad. Hands down.
Illinois is the worst state by far, how many murders were in Chicago this past wknd:shrug:

Kentucky is an unhealthy state to live due mostly to all the smokers and obesity, the yahoo article sez. I shouldn't move there, because I guess I'll take up smoking and getting fat.
And all those EPA cited waste water discharge polluters in Floyd County sure will hurt my living quality in Louisville.

the crime rankings are taken unfiltered from the FBI's Uniform Crime Reports. Don't let the "FBI" part of the name fool you - these statistics are not generated, surveyed, interpreted or overseen by the FBI. The FBI just collects self-reported crime stats from agencies all over the US and publishes it.
In Missouri if you push a cop, that's an "assault". Not the case elsewhere. Chicago's methods of reporting rapes is so different from the FBI, the FBI took the unusual step of not listing violent forceable rape in the city?s violent crime total in recent years - "unusual" as the FBI almost never does any accounting for accuracy anywhere for their UCR.
here is an article on one of the very few places which did get audited on their self-reporting of crime to the UCR database. Turned out their error rate was 20%!
there are other statistical problems too. Won't get into all the numbing detail here. You can google and find it..
Just be very skeptical of it all, as the FBI itself warns folks who might use the stats to generate rankings like you see in this yahoo article:
