O.K. guys I asked my buds this question last week and got answers revealing pros and cons of each wager. For example, it's easier to lay the run line on the road than at home, for the obvious one run win.I am by no means a B.Ball giant so any input you guys can supply helps.I started playing the run line only vs. laying the wood and so far I have done fine, but the experiment has not lasted long enough to formulate an intelligent and justified answer to the question I am throwing out to all the "SHARPIES" out there. Thanks guys.Oh,I bet Texas -1 1/2 getting 135 instead of betting the money line@ -140,so let me know your thoughts and don't hold anything back if I'm screwing up, Please call it as you see it(as I cringe when I see people lied up to play (russian) roulette.....Spanky...luck to all...

depends if you are mired in a horrible losing streak, lay the -140.
If you have had recent good luck and an account to back it up with then by all means take the -1.5.

i look at the teams playing. teams like cleveland, tampa, texas, colorado always seem to win or lose by more than 1. teams like philly, atlanta, anaheim, arizona always seem to be in 1 run games. also a lower total usually means a lower, closer scoring game. when you get to those 10+runs anything can happen. thats my opinion. 30% of ball games end in 1 run games, and really the only way it hurts you is if the team u bet on wins by 1. i dont like to use it personally but i may play 1 or 2 a week like that. i won last nite with houston -1.5 -110. it seemed like a blowout and i played it.

it depends on team betting with do they score and if i am home or away.also i look at the field that i am playing at is it more for hitters or better for pitchers. then is the pitcher i am facing have alot of cs under his belt or does he get slapped around some. and if i am up for the week if i can have more of the rights going my way i would lay the 1.5.
if you are taking rangers i would today if they sweep should be by more then 1 at coors.
good luck

my bad rangers at home that would make it harder to do but still if they win it would probley not be a 1 run game in tx either.
