Sports betting is interesting as after a bad beat or two, things can snowball quickly. Of course had Wizards +6 tonight for a terrible beat. Had Phillies on Saturday night for a large wager and things have been terrible since.

Does anyone else feel the losing streaks after a few bad beats? I know they seem to follow me afterwards and things like tonight's Wizards debacle happen.

Yeah, I get that feeling sometimes and think avoiding those devastating losing streaks is key. Even if it's just a "feeling" and not actually true that a losing streak will follow, it may still be better to take a break for a few days after those crushing losses. The cumulative, negative emotional/psychological impact of even more losses is way greater than the positive mental effects of winning during those periods our emotions are running high. Plus, playing more could also lead to making irrational betting decisions

Take a break for 1 week. Look at scores if you want BUT don't look at lines AT ALL. Seriously 1 full week. Clear your head and start back 1 week later. I PROMISE things will look different. :0008

Yep...I usually am on every game and the playoffs are my forte but this year has been sketchy to say the least..I'm chillin back waiting to unload one of these days..

Ditto, but I have less discipline than this guy above me. I'm hoping that the Wiz don't blow a four TD lead late in the third when I'm laying under 6.
