"WSEX NFL Postseason Poker Pools"
$7,250.00 Cash Guaranteed

Game Schedule and Payouts

Following the popularity of the College Football Poker Pools,
Let's keep the fun going into the NFL Postseason?

Qualifying will begin on New Years Eve. Check the qualifying periods for each game here: Qualifying Dates

Poker Pools (Details):

12 NFL Postseason games this year, and we will have a pool running for each one of them. The only way to qualify is by playing Poker. $7,250.00 in prize money is guaranteed.
100 squares per pool will be filled with the screen names of WSEX Poker players as qualifying proceeds.
The squares will be filled left to right, top to bottom, based on hand numbers. The first 100 qualifying spots will round out the first poker pool (The Wild-Card Game played on 1/04/03 at 4:30 PM), and the last 100 qualifying spots will round out the last poker pool (The Pro Bowl on 2/02/03).
The order in which the hands qualify (as opposed to the order in which they are reported) determines that hand's spot in the Poker Pools.
For the purposes of the WSEX Poker Pools, the squares will be filled in the following order: (Game Schedule & Payouts).
There will be 4 payouts per Postseason Game/Poker Pool card; based on the scores at the end of the 1st Quarter, Half Time, 3rd Quarter and Final Score. (Note: We are using a cumulative method, not the score from each quarter individually. Also, we specify 'Final' score, taking into account that the final score may differ from the score at the end of the 4th Quarter, should the game go into overtime.)
For those of you who may be unfamiliar with how a pool card works, let us explain:
After the 100 qualifiers have been identified (100 per poker pool card) and assigned to the appropriate square, the 10 numbers (0-9) heading both the rows and columns will be chosen at random. (This makes it so everyone has the same opportunity to get any set of numbers. It also means you don't have to know anything about football, and there are no advantages, as it all comes down to the luck of the draw.)
The square with the correct score is the one that has the numbers matching the last digit of the score for each team. (Example: If Team 'A's score is 27, and Team 'B's score is 13, the square with the correct score is the one that has 7 for the Team 'A' column and 3 for the Team 'B' row. The 2 (in 27) and the 1 (in 13) are ignored.
There are NO cash out restrictions imposed on the availability of the prize money.
As a courtesy to our staff, please allow up to 24 hours from the completion of the game for the bonus to be deposited into winner's accounts.
Qualifying Notice:

Qualifying rules can change. In order to ensure that there are squares available, we may find it necessary to loosen or tighten the qualifying hands. We did not find it necessary to do so in the College Football Poker Pools, and we hope we will not have to here. Just precautionary verbiage.
Should the qualifying rules change, we will clearly outline this on both the Promotion Page, and in the form of a pop-up window launched from the Poker software.
Adjustments may consist of time restrictions, game types, stakes allowed, player numbers, and/or the qualifying hands itself. Please pay close attention to any changes.
Each Qualifying period is for the corresponding games being played that weekend. Once the squares are reported and filled, qualifying for that period is COMPLETE. (Example: Qualifying hands reported during the first qualifying period, but after the Wild-Card Weekend pool cards are filled, DO NOT roll over into the Divisional Playoffs pool card. Those spots are reserved for the next qualifying period.) Please check back to the web site to follow the progress of the promotion.
Qualifying Hands:

During the Qualifying Dates, two (2) different hands can qualify:
"Poker Pool Touchdown": Win with 3-of-a-kind 7's, and YOU'RE IN!
"Poker Pool Field Goal": Win with 3-of-a-kind 3's, and GET A SQUARE!
Sorry, no "Aces Never Loose" this time?
Tournament Play is acceptable, and the winning hands must contain 3-3's or 3-7's. Full House, 4-of-a-kind, even a flush containing a 3 or 7 while you held pocket 3's or 7's qualifies. Just win the hand while having 3-3's or 3-7's.
This promotion only applies to Texas Hold'em games played for real money.
Important Notice: Qualifying hands played below $1/$2 stakes will be eligible for 50% of the prize pool awarded. Qualifying hands played at $1/$2 stakes and above will be eligible for 100% of the prize pool awarded. As we mentioned, $7,250.00 is guaranteed. For any payouts that have the 50% rule imposed, the remaining 50% will be rolled over into the "Pro Bowl" prize pool distribution. (No 50% rule will be imposed for the "Pro Bowl" game).
There are no time restrictions on the qualifying hands. 24-Hours this time gang! However, make sure you are reporting hands played during the Qualifying Dates.
There must be 3 or more players dealt in, and the hand must go to a showdown to qualify.
Multiple qualifiers are welcomed and encouraged.
Please submit an email to poker@wsex.com with your WSEX Poker screen name, and the hand numbers in which you qualified. Please title the email "NFL Poker Pool" to prevent an oversight.
Please report your qualifying hand within 12 hours. Failure to do so will result in disqualification of the hand.
Our staff will be responsible for verifying the hands reported. (To make certain you are reporting the proper hand numbers, please double check your hand numbers by utilizing our Hand History Display. Simply right-click on any of the poker room tables and select "previous game hand history". You can select "find different game" and type in the specific hand numbers. You can also scroll through the hands you participated in for verification.)
Results will be posted on http://www.wsexpoker.com/NFLpay.asp
In order to secure your "NFL Postseason Poker Pool" spot, you must notify our staff within 12 Hours. To claim your position, Email the hand number, along with your screen name to poker@wsex.com.

Disclaimer: Players trying to undermine the intention of the promotion, by deliberate manipulation of play, may be disqualified. WSEX Poker may, at its sole discretion, change the qualifying criteria of the promotion.
