260k from Matusow who says, "I'm going to get this game out of the muck." No callers."I'm going to raise every hand to loosen up you tight asses."

How can you not love this guy?
I don't understand the hatred for him.

I would give my left arm to see him and Helmouth in a heads up dual, or even at the same table for a prolonged period of time.

Loudmouths do not impress me at the Poker table. They do not intimidate and only talk themselves into embarassment.

He isn't a loudmouth because he is trying to impress you. He is a loudmouth because it throws some people off their game, and secondly, its called having fun and enjoying himself.

How boring would the game be if 9 people just sat around a cirlce, nodded to each other, and said "good hand" every 3 minutes?

And Helmouth is workin on his attitude.. did you see the Heads Up CHampionships? The reporter asked him who he thought the best player was at the tourney and Phil politely declined to answer! UNBELIEVABLE!

Pengy,

Serious question man. This guy is like the bad boy of poker. He makes it exciting.
He's like the Roddy Roddy Piper, the Triple H of Wrestling stuck into poker. He's damn good, and doesn't mind being the heel because he always finds a way to the top.

Mouth gets seat 5 and chip leader seat 6. Could be very interesting. Mouth only one who has been there before which has to give him an edge, although history tells us it probably isnt much of one.

I am kind of rooting for him. I dont personally know as some of you must to have such hatred for him, but he is entertaining and a very solid player. Heck, if we cut out all of the bad guys in sports, or those who made big mistakes, who exactly would there be to root for? Somehow Pen fan I bet you had no problem rooting for them with deadbeat cokehead Jagr on the team did you?

This guy won't win, another hellmuth, if he finishes in the top 3 i will be surprised, can't wait to see him blow his top when he chokes out.

I thought Hellmouth is a pretty damn good player. Being compared to the youngest WSOP champ ever, among numerous other championship bracelets and events is hardly an insult.

marine not saying he is hellmuth is a bad player, just saying he is like him, he will get himself so worked up in his own head, that is better, that he will push and push til he busts.

Hellmuth always chokes the big ones, except for his wsop win in his younger years. Not insulting either guy, but they are both head jobs and that is what will keep them from winning the big ones.

Hellmouth = National Heads Up Champ this year.. and he had every right to lose it after getting drawn out on and beaten by 2 or 3 outters... and he maintained his cool.
L* So what if he walked away from the table and roamed the casino floor for a bit while they held play for him. At least he kept level headed.

This thread reminds me of the basketball tourney scene in "White Men Can't Jump".

On another note.....

if he does win, maybe everyone take something of his style and add it to their's.

I really don't think anyone really pays attention to anyone's antics at this level of play.
