WSOP winner cashes chips ? you cash bet
The climax of the 41st annual World Series of Poker takes place this weekend and betED.com is giving sports bettors a chance to cash in on pro poker?s richest and most prestigious tournament.
The November Nine ? as it?s become known since the WSOP began holding the championship final in the Fall, months after the main tournament in June and July ? features nine players vying for more than $29 million in prize money, with the winner taking home $8.9 million and the almost-as-coveted WSOP Championship Bracelet.
betED.com has Jonathan Duhamel as the favorite at +225 in WSOP Odds, followed by John Dolan at +350 and Michael Mizrachi at +500.
Duhamel, a 23-year-old from Boucherville, Quebec, Canada, leads the chip count with 65,975,000.
Dolan, 24, from Bonita Springs, Florida is second with 46,250,000, while Mizrachi is actually well down the chip-count list with 14,450,000.
A total of 7,319 players began the WSOP ? a $10,000 No-Limit Texas Hold?em World Championship ? when the event kicked off in June in Las Vegas.
The final takes place at the Penn & Teller Theater at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino, with play on Saturday and Monday.
On Monday, the final two players will square off at 8 PM, following a ceremony in which Erik Seidel and Dan Harrington will be inducted into the Poker Hall of Fame.
The main event final table will be broadcast by ESPN at 10 pm ET on Nov. 9.
