Qualifiers coming in.

Odds coming out for Monday:

* Stollar did win. She made noise in this tournament last year, w/ one big upset.

* Petkovic is a former champ. She always get good support here. I know her recent form is not very good.

* Bouchard is amazingly a 2/1 dog vs Errani. If that's accurate...she has dropped off considerably.

* Osaka recently beat Serena. A healthy -400 favorite in opener.

Eugenie Bouchard currently around the odds of +220 to beat the Italian.

Quite an interesting/pathetic match-up..........

You have the Canadian who has dropped from 5 in the world to roughly 999999 in the world. And you have Sara Errani who showed just how pathetic the WTA Tour is when she got to a ranking of 5 in singles and 1 in doubles, and yes that is not a typo, she was one in the world in doubles at one time:scared

You have Bouchard who has the tennis IQ of a baby gerbil and the touch of granite statue versus a girl who has no backhand and hits her serve as hard as a 99 year old great-grandmother. Sara Errani is currently ranked 96 in the world and even that is rather high. The fact that she was 1 in doubles and 5 in singles at one time is maybe the most pathetic thing to have happen to women's tennis. Of course Graf being number 1 in the world for 100 years and she never hit a topspin backhand might tie that Errani stat.

Oh and this epic match is on the stupid as fuck Har-Tru surface, ATP Tour won't allow that shit surface, but the WTA Tour allows it, nice job WTA:facepalm:

So get ready for the baby gerbil versus the 99 year old grandmother, it should be epic:firing:

Kick, understand one thing about my betting. I don't care what event I bet on.

Football, soccer, ant-races. I could care less. Just trying to get an edge.

I actually find tennis to be one of the most challenging sports to bet, probably b/c it's an individual sport and the associated injuries. I don't claim to have any level of expertise. But sometimes local-knowledge can be helpful.

I find it best to wait for the event to end, then make your wager, I never lose when I do this.:SIB

Yepx35:x21:

Handicapping games is one of the hardest things to do.

Just watch some of the preview shows. On Friday, they have all the answers. On Monday...after the games played out, they have all the NEW answers.

Watched several matches L2 days. A few observations:

* Lepchenko hit a lot of lines. Petko was choppy, not much she could do. Rallied w/ two breaks in 2nd set to make it 5-5, but then lost serve.

* Young Osaka looks solid. Might be making run up the rankings.

* Bouchard was all over the place. Made it close in 2nd set, lost late. Her ranking is dropping like a rock. Errani does like playing here.

* Maria w/ +200 upset of Lauren Davis. Davis is one of these pint-sized players who needs to play perfect to go deep.

* Read Kasatkina interview. She opens defense of 1st-career title tonite. Said that she really likes the green-clay b/c she can slide on it. McHale is not a walkover opponent. McHale as 4/1 dog at least intriguing.

McHale did give her a game, but Kasatkina closes it out late.

Sorry, guys, haven't updated my ratings yet. Don't want to give out garbage picks.

Sorry, guys. I'm doing a horse-shit job in this thread. I will preview a few matches:

* Begu looks live at +300. Kasatkina maybe overpriced as defending champ.

* Stollar a pretty big dog vs Bertens. A little surprised it's that hi. 2nd straight year that Stollar has made noise at this tourney.
