WTF! Computer advice for upgrading OS

Yeah, I still use Vista. This machine is 6 years old Dell and I like it and works fine. Trouble is, Chrome won't update for Vista anymore and it's just starting to cause problems.

What should I do?

From brief searching it looks like you can't get windows 10x unless you had 7 or 8. Also, it sounds like a lot of programs we have are incompatible and will have to be reinstalled. Not to mention I hate the layout of the newer windows systems. I have a feeling that this is going to be a huge pain in the ass.

Here's how to fix the problem. Go to Best Buy and find any employee. Tell them that innernets and Chromes aren't working. They will show you where the macs are. Buy one of those. Problem solved.:0008

It appears that it's a smooth transition to upgrade to Windows 7. Only a few programs that I never use are incompatible and there's a question about my printer but I'm sure that's compatible and might just need a new driver.

I think I'll upgrade to Windows 7 to get used to that before I go up to 8 or 10.

Download and run Windows 7 upgrade advisor to check your machine.

I hate Firefox so I'm only doing this so I can continue using Chrome.
