http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090628/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_honduras_referendum

let's see, iran fixes an election and people die in the streets as a result and we are, for the most part, noncommital and dare not speak the words "democracy" or "freedom"....no "meddling"...

honduras uses their constitution to depose a would-be dictator-for-life and we scream like stuck pigs, essentially aligning ourselves with hugo chavez.....

is this the friggin "twilight zone" or what?

Can you post the article where we scream like stuck pigs?

to my stalker:

the word "coup" used by the msm and some like minded leaders is a tad over the top...i responded with an equally absurd rhetorical flourish to make my point...

i`ll write in a deliberate manner and use simple wording for you...i`m reading that manuel zelaya is a socialist and in the past had been legitimately elected....but, he just recently took steps to dismantle honduras' democratic system, and basically install himself as president-for-life, a la hugo chavez (who supports him, naturally).......

the army stepped in at the behest of the honduran supreme court and congress in order to preserve the democratic system, not destroy it....

and we`re backing the despot...

if you need further assistance, lemme know...

To my fellow poster who is so used to posting monologues that anyone who does respond is called a stalker:

You said screaming like stuck pigs. The article you posted said that we are "deeply concerned" and Hillary said that it should be condemned.

http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=Obama+"deeply+concerned"&fr=yfp-t-501&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8

From what I can tell, Obama's been deeply concerned about Hurricanes, jailed reporters and Gaza. He was "deeply troubled" by the Iran crackdown.

http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt...ply+concerned"+&fr=yfp-t-501&fr2=sb-top&sao=1

If you'll remember President Bush was deeply concerned about Russian troops moving into a sovereign nation, at Russia arresting democratic leaders, the state of human rights in China and oil prices.

Please show me where we're screaming like stuck pigs.

TIA

obama used the word "coup".....he stated he wants him reinstated....which is contrary to the honduran constitution....

i find this admiinistration`s willingness to "meddle" on behalf of current or wanna-be dictatorships troubling...particularly while taking a hands/words off attitude when it involves democratic regimes/peoples trying to protect the rule of law....

/thank me very much...

"We believe that the coup was not legal and that President Zelaya remains the democratically elected president there," Obama said.

"It would be a terrible precedent if we start moving backwards into the era in which we are seeing military coups as a means of political transition rather than democratic elections," he added. "The region has made enormous progress over the last 20 years in establishing democratic traditions. ... We don't want to go back to a dark past."

this is so bass ackwards it`s almost humorous...
