Did anybody catch Backlash last night-pay-per-view?? Shane Mcmahan jumped from the rafters last night and supposedly landed on the Bigshow. He may have grazed him, but he definately jumped from the fricken' rafters. This stunt blows away Mick Foley's stunt off of the top of the cage. You gotta see this. I'm still in shock. He deserves to get paid big bucks for this one.

Of course this is why there are many things to watch. Not everyone likes the same thing. I cant stand roller skating and marbles.

Hey I enjoyed the PPV & thought it was better then some of the bad overall reviews I saw on numerous wrestling websites.
I thought the main event could have been better & was expecting more of a classic in the ultimate submission match but I'm not upset I shelled out $30.

I am a huge wrestling fan, I would argue bigger than anyone else on this board.
Gator, that bump was not all that. It was a classic stuntman fall to a soft landing done 100 times a day on Hollywood lots everywhere. Yeah, it took some onions and it was a good 25-30 feet, but I didn't think it was all that.
As far as wrestling-haters go: yeah, it is an acquired taste. I watch Japanese, Mexican and American wrestling and I can see why people hate the WWF because McMahon turns it into a clown show with too much cheesy acting and stripping girls.
The funny thing to me is how ignorant non-wrestling fans are sometimes. A lot of non-fans don't realize that EVERY person in the audience knows its fake and has known its fake their entire lives. They just love the show. Pro wrestling has been fake since before the turn of the century (don't listen to A&E specials and shit like that because they don't know what the hell they are talking about) and to me it is good drama, good athleticism and better television than 99% of hackneyed sitcoms and overwrought dramas.

Most might feel its not a sport or these people are not athletic but they earned my respect as they risk their lives in there every day & sacrifice alot just to entertain us every night.
Nick.....I think the leap was closer to 50 than 30 and if he would of landed on the Bigshow, it would have been very ugly. I don't care what was underneath the lumber, that was a great stunt from a guy that's not exactly a specimen by any means. Name me a better stunt to date in wrestling........

What Nick was trying to explain here simply is that most of (or at least many) non-wrestling fans don't even know that about 95% of true wrestling fans are perfectly conscious of the "fake" thing, of the fact that it's just a show. Well that's how I read it anyways.
