Notes: Wyoming starting center Uche Nsonwu-Amadi is out with a sprained knee and did not make the trip. Rated by Street and Smith's as the best pro prospect in the Mountain West Conference this season, he was averaging 16.7 points and 14 rebounds before being injured. ... Marcus Bailey also is nursing a sprained ankle but is expected to play. ... Wyoming is coming off a fourth-place finish in the Great Alaska Shootout, losing to tourney champ College of Charleston in the first round, then defeating Alaska-Anchorage and Loyola-Marymount. ... Wyoming has won the MWC the last two seasons and finished 22-9 last year. ... UW is 8-3 all time against Wyoming but the two teams haven't played since 1978, an 85-74 Huskies win in which current UW Coach Lorenzo Romar scored 11 points. ... UW has been outscored 79-34 at the free-throw line this season. ... Huskies football player Nate Robinson plans to suit up for the first time tonight and will also make the trip Saturday to Santa Clara. His schedule the next few weeks will be contingent on the football team's bowl plans. ... Wyoming and UW are expected to play again next year in Laramie.

man, this tix me off, really wanted to go huge on this game but w/o their big guy, whos damn good, only making a slight play--dang it!! maybe UW wins SU and wait for next game, but this is disappointing ... their other stud has bad ankle too ...

How often do we see a major player out with an injury and the rest of the team uses it as a rallying point for the next game? I liked Wyoming before and I still like them even after the news.
