Can anyone give us an update on all of the suspensions given to the Wyoming players. I read where a few were suspended until Feb. 6th. Will they be playing tonight?

The Wyoming Cowboys will enter Tuesday's Mountain West Conference matchup versus the Brigham Young Cougars with one of the best home records in the MWC this season. UW is 9-1 at home this season, and has posted a 3-1 conference home record. BYU is 3-5 in road games for the 2006-07 campaign, and is 2-2 in MWC road contests.
Tuesday's game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. from Wyoming's Arena-Auditorium. The game will be televised live on "the mtn." (Mountain West Sports Network). The Cowboys Sports Network radio broadcast will begin at 6:30 p.m. on the 25 affiliate stations of CSN.
Wyoming brings a 13-10 overall record and a 4-5 conference mark into Tuesday's game. The Pokes are tied with Colorado State for fifth place in the conference race. BYU is 17-6 overall and 7-2 in conference play, and is tied for the lead league with Air Force.
This season, the Wyoming Cowboys have been nearly unbeatable at home. Among the teams that Wyoming has defeated this season in the Arena-Auditorium are: UNLV, Colorado State, TCU, UAB, Boise State and Montana. The only opponent to win in the Double A this year is Air Force -- by two points 58-56.
UW is one of only four Mountain West Conference schools to have gone undefeated or lost only one home game this season. The four schools are:

Wyoming true freshman guard and Casper, Wyo., native Eric Platt has begun to come into his own over the past three games. During that three-game span, Platt has recorded two double-figure scoring games -- 15 versus TCU and 13 at Air Force. In the last three games, he is averaging 11.7 points, 2.7 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game.
Another young Cowboy whose play has improved dramatically, as of late, is sophomore Bienvenu Songondo. Entering Wyoming's home game versus TCU on Jan. 27, 2007, sophomore forward Songondo was averaging 0.7 points, 0.7 rebounds and 4.8 minutes per game. Over his last three games, Songondo is averaging 8.0 points, 3.3 rebounds and 24.0 minutes per game. He scored 10 points and grabbed six rebounds versus TCU, and scored nine and five points, respectively, at New Mexico and Air Force.
Due to his recent increased production, combined with the fact that senior center Daaron Brown is not expected to play Tuesday versus BYU, Songondo is projected to make his first career start against the Cougars.
Wyoming's outstanding backcourt of Brandon Ewing and Brad Jones will return to the Cowboys' starting lineup this Tuesday versus BYU.
The two were suspended for last Saturday's game at Air Force due to a fighting incident they were involved in at New Mexico on Jan. 30. The suspension was imposed by the University of Wyoming Athletics Department and the Mountain West Conference.
Ewing's original suspension was for one game, so he won't miss any additional games due to the suspension. Jones originally was issued a two-game suspension with the stipulation that his second missed game must come in the regular-season finale versus New Mexico on March 3 in Laramie.
Wyoming forward Joseph Taylor, who also missed the Air Force game, will not play versus BYU, as he is serving an indefinite suspension that was imposed by Wyoming head coach Steve McClain. That suspension stemmed from Taylor's involvement in the fighting incident at New Mexico. The MWC had issued Taylor an original two-game suspension, but McClain elected to make Taylor's suspension indefinite. Tuesday's meeting between the Cowboys and Cougars is the 165th in the series. Wyoming trails in the overall series with 69 wins against 95 losses. Of the 81 previous meetings between the two rivals in Laramie, Wyoming has won 53 of the 81 games played in Laramie, while losing 28 times at home.
