XFL: 8-4 the last 3 weeks
Looking at this week's games, I have 2 plays already in, and a 3rd early lean....
* NY/NJ -2.5 (vs Chic):
All of a sudden NY/NJ has an offense. With the advent of a more unpredictable play calling system, this team is finally appearing to come together for a possible playoff run, and they gave Orlando quite a scare last week. This is a MUST WIN situation for both teams, but my money is on 1) the home team 2) the team with the MUCH better defense, 3) the team with more momentum. The chaulk here ain't too bad at all. Chicago is all done...
* 2-team, 6-point tease
Orlando -1/2
San Fran +12
Orlando is the best team in the league, playing the worst team in the league, and they're only giving 6.5 points? They gave -6 to a much better SF team last week. Well, I have one steadfast rule with XFL, never give more than 6 points. Actually, very rarely do I give more than 3. Thus the tease. I don't see Orlando losing this game unless they rest on their playoff clinching status already. Not likely when, with every game you win, the more money you earn.
(god, I just LOVE that! Real world stuff...)
San Fran hasn't lost a game by more than 12 all season (Orlando beat 'em by 12 once), for the most part they are competitive within a TD in just about every game they play. While Vegas has that great "D", I'm not going to let their point production over the last 2 weeks fool me into believing they'll romp a very solid SF team. I wanted to jump on it right away, but smartly waited and hoped for the line to increase. I got my wish.
* Early line-move lean, SF +6 (vs LV)
When SF hit +6, that turned on the watch light for me this week. I'll wait until close to gametime and hope for another 1/2 point or more. It's no play as a "straight" bet below +6.
Be sure to check in later for a late addition or two.
Good Luck.
