It's XFL playoff time!

Well, along with a profitable inaugerial XFL betting season, I also managed to hold my own and finish in the prizes in the season-long pick 'em contest sposored by Royal Sports. So, along with XFL T-shirts and stuff, I also won tickets to the XFL championship game. Damn shame that I live 1200 miles from the nearest playoff game! It would have been fun to head down and hang out with 30,000 of my closest, X-generation friends in Orlando, FLA for the Million Dollar Game. Oh well, it's still nice to win something on occasion....

Speaking of dollars.....here are my plays for this weeks games.

My first 2 unit play of the XFL season!

* Two Team, 6-Point Tease: 2 units

LA -1.5
Orl -1/2

Does anybody REALLY expect the XFL championship game to include anything other than an LA/Orl matchup? What I've learned in betting the "NFL" is to always expect the unexpected scenero, especially in the playoffs. Conversely, in the XFL, I've found that the results tend to remain pretty consistent with my own line of thinking. (with some exceptions obviously) Seems to me that the best bet here is on both favorites, at home, with the better offenses to get the nod in almost a PK situation on both sides of the tease. Each favorite could easily turn the game into a blowout if turnovers go their way.

FWIW, I also considered the LA/Chic under 42.5 as I think the number is a bit high. Haven't pulled the trigger yet since I'm a little concerned about both team's offenses, which can really put some points on the board when they get rolling. I'll probably lay off it. If forced to choose, I'd also lean towards the Orl/SF Under 38.5, but again, Orl's Offense can roll. However, the SF "D" can be pretty solid. I'll have to look into it more. If I do anything else, I'll check back in here post it before kickoff.

Good Luck.
