To each his own, but Andrew "All Net" Metta put in a huge future wager on the Lakers tonight to win the 2004 championship...Make a long story short, he is one of the most respected NBA future gamblers...Yes. He even had the Spurs this past year and he had the Spurs and Rockets "post Bulls" and had the Lakers for the 3 championships.

Some highlights as to why Lakers:

_ Imagine getting back 3:1 odds RIGHT NOW with the current team coming back
healthy!!!

_ Now add Karl Malone and Gary Payton to the team!!!

_ For the FIRST time in his career, Shaq in the offseason has hired a personal trainer
working out SIX times per week and a personal nutrionalist

_ Kobe's off court problems will focus him that much more (as if he needs it) to
basketball...Basketball will be his outlet and his psychologist...Perfect example,
Ray Lewis's drive the season he was in the Atlanta scandals...Basketball will
be Kobe's outlet even more...The only way he wins the public back is by
performing so well that people constantly talk about him on the court

***These are highlights for his reasons and they're much more in depth...Thought I'd pass this on real quick...Nobody like to bet favorties, and you can bet the Lakers as
a 3:1 or at least a 5:2 dog to win the championship!!! Once Malone and Payton are signed the odds will at the VERY LEAST go to Lakers even or Lakers MINUS money...and you have to think the Lakers at 3:1 WITHOUT Malone and Payton is still a good bet cause of Shaq's "rededication" to his game...But, the Lakers are like the Yankees...When they talk to players, they sign them...Metta is banking on the Lakers to sign these veterens!!!

As always just food for thought and to each his own, but remember this post and look at the Lakers odds right now and compare it when they sign Malone and Payton.

Pinnacle has the Lakers +170, not even 2-1. I wouldn't take them at those odds if I knew they were going to win! Well, maybe if I knew for sure.....
