but that was a chump basket in the end!

Up by 15, had some local plays as 15 1/2, and lose due to back up basket!

Not mad, just saying it was chump play!

I had 'em too, dog.

Corsley Edwards was a total bust.

Gotta' hand it to Brandin Knight, though.

Great hoops IQ.

ppabart,

Cen Conn State went tits up in the last 2 minutes.

It's a shame cause Battles and Popofski played their hearts out.

Coupla' players just went through the motions and cost us the cover.

What was Pitt doing shooting with 9 seconds left?? In a 15 pt game, nobody does that. It certainly looks like they were trying to cover.....in a game they didn't deserve to.

I ususally go to the bars with satellites so I can watch all the reamings I take first hand. I just can't believe that Pitt would hoist up a shot when they could just dribble it out.

Another funny thing...

Another funny thing...

If you listened to the internet telecast from Pitt...you could tell they had $$$ on the game. When the last shot went in as time expired, shouts of I can't believe it came out. I don't mind these guys betting on games, but...show some professionalism.

Anyone else here that, it was a classic moment!

I had the chokers in this game too, so I was just an angry at seeing that collpase in the final two minutes.

But -- so far as PITT shooting and making a basket with seconds left.......

I for one, am GLAD to see any team trying to score as many points as it can. I am particularly glad to see coaches who are aware of the spread and try to cover it for the alumni (bettors). Many times, we are on a favorite, and they run out the clock instead of taking a few easy points. Id' rather see teams play it all out for the ENTIRE game, instead of trying to guess what a bunch of kids with 85 IQs who will be working at a shoestore in 6 mos. are going to do with ten seconds left in the game.

Just a different perspective, I guess.

Now -- as to why Cent Connt. completely gave up in closing minutes, I have no idea.

I wish there was more of it, to tell you the truth. Sports and Gambing are so intertwined and the media and sports orgs. are so scared to admit it. I'd love to hear these guys talking about hoe the play of the game is affecting the spread/total. It woudl at least make their banter during blow-outs more interesting.

Read a write-up sometime at Lou's page (i won't post the link). He previews a game with the sides and totals in mind. Much more interesting than the typical preview in the local paper.
