You are the President of the United States. Scientists have discovered that a meteor is headed straight towards the earth. They have calculated that it will strike France in two days at approximately 2:30 AM eastern time. The meteor is large enough to completely wipe France from the face of the earth.
France and the United Nations have urgently requested that the United States fire all of its missiles at the meteor and that it send all available ships, troops and aircraft to help evacuate the country. Many of these ships and planes you could send are being used to fight the war on terror overseas.
As the President, you must decide:

Do you stay up late on the night of the impact to watch the coverage live on CNN

or do you tape it and watch it in the morning?

I would personally lend Air Force One out to French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin.....wherever he may be in the world.....and make sure he was delivered home safe and sound to keep his seat in the front row.

I would also have someone tell Susan Surandon that there was an anti-war demonstration at the Eiffel Tower that day.

Wish I was the kinda Politician that could horde the French wine, convince N. Korea to attack the meteor and entertain the CNN babes in the Lincoln Bedroom.

1st I'd call Rummy up and see if we could split that puppy up in two , direct one to our comrades in Russia and let the other stay heading for our pals in France.

2nd I'd send troops in ASAP to the Cognac Region of France, grab as many cases of Courvosier XO as possible.


3rd I'd give Bill a call, see if I could get Monica's phone #, order a 12 pack, pizza and a box of cigars, kick back and enjoy the show

Warn the French and tell them of thier impending loss.

Then offer to put in a UN resolution to help them defeat the comet. Then veto your own resolution saying the comet has not attacked France directly and a preemptive strike would be wrong.
