I remember when George Bush Senior was elected Pres. His platform was "No new taxes!"....After about 6 months in office, "I'm sorry to inform you all, but we're going to have to raise taxes.".....He didn't get as much grief for that as you folks are dishing out here, and he blatently lied!
These folks are not liars, they are not "scamdicappers", they are not cheats. They have been here longer, in many cases, much longer than most of you bashers.
If you go to the doctors because you're sick and you walk in and tell him so, does he not agree and say your sick, hand you a prescription and then CHARGE you? Of course. But why? YOu already knew you were sick. Because you took up his time and he provided you a service, and everybodys time is worth a value. Some is of a higher value than others, and some is worth very little, and over time you decide who is worth what.
Some say they don't have time to cap and they just want help. Time is money folks no matter how you break it down. Instead of going to the doctor for that prescription, you could have gone to the library and read up on your ailments, made a judgemet as to what you had, then found another book on treatments and yet another on making your own remedy. Then you could have treked into the woods, provided you have some near enough your home, and scrpaed off some bark from an Alpine Spruce ( provided you remebered to research that book while you were at the library so as to be able to recognize it) then dig up some Ginger Root ( again provided you did your research) and get the rest of your ingredients take tem home and cook them up in a big 'ol pot. ..........The point is here folks, It AIN"T EASY doing what these guys do. If it were you guys wouldn't have given two shitz that they were going to charge for their picks. The truth is, you know the value of their picks ( and maybe it's not $50 a week, but it's worth something.)
The "FREE SITE" you all screamed about was and is still FREE. These were just new additions to this, the best friggin' site on the net. It's just a change. It's called evolution. Nobody was screaming when Jack went to a seperate forum for each sport. How many of you were around when it was one big forum and you got to scan through everything to find what you were looking for? Nobody bitched when he got the new server and the added icons (smilies). Some of you still don't use the icons, that doesn't
make them bad, just not your style.
The bottom line is........The people who say they weren't using their picks, won't miss them. The people who were, obviously recognized the value and should understand that......Nothing in life is free, even this site. Have you checked your monthly statement for your internet provider lately? And I know your computer wasn't free.
Lastly, anybody who has been around here for any length of time knows that I told you this would happen many moons ago.....Everytime I got into it with one of the "Newbies", who were asking for something else every 5 minutes from these guys. Stupid stuff that if you were any of them you would have just said, 'It ain't worth it. I give and give and give, and all they want is more." I for one, and you can go back and check my posts, have defended Fletcher and Sneaks on numerous occasions for the people having absolutely no respect for what these guys do. The reason I did it was because I relied heavily on their information and did not want to think about trying to beat the man without them. This is one time when I am very sad to see that my prediction was correct.
