After last nights Houston disaster I am now 100% sure it's my fault.:00x8
I don't know if you guys have ever had this happen to you but evrything I take turns into a Massive pile of shit.:em38:
It's not even close in most cases, just like last night.:00x4
Anyway maybe I should post all my picks and you all can fade away:sadwave:

On a side note. What the F was all that stuff doing just outside the end zone???? That was horrible! that poor kid run right into a metal cart at shin bone hight going 75-90%. Who knows if he ever recovers and runs well enough to play again.
Are there possible legal actions here??
Has Marshall Made any public statement?
Anyone loose a job over that?
That would not be want I want to happen on my field on a ESPN game!!

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP)?Houston wide receiver Patrick Edwards said Wednesday he holds no animosity toward Marshall, a day after he ran into a service cart and broke his leg in a game against the Thundering Herd.

The freshman was going after a pass at full speed in the third quarter Tuesday night when his right shin hit a cart in the back of the end zone. A referee immediately called for help and Edwards was carried off the field.

A Cabell Huntington Hospital spokesman said Edwards was in good condition Wednesday following surgery.

Edwards told The Associated Press from his hospital room in Huntington that he didn?t see several carts that were parked against a grass embankment.

?I just saw the ball in the air and once it came down, I hit the cart and flipped over it,? Edwards said.

He doesn?t blame Marshall but said the Conference USA officiating crew should have ensured the carts were moved away.

?They are supposed to check and see if everything is off the field,? Edwards said.

Marshall athletic director Bob Marcum said the carts, used by Marshall?s band, will be relocated at future games.

?We are sorry the accident took place and wish Patrick a quick and full recovery,? said Marcum, who also talked to Houston athletic director Dave Maggard about the accident.

Gerald Austin, Conference USA?s director of officiating, didn?t immediately return an e-mail seeking comment Wednesday.

The game was televised nationally and the accident has already been shown thousands of times on the Internet?even Edwards said he saw the replay.

Edwards, Houston?s leading receiver with 634 yards on 46 catches, suffered a compound fracture and had a rod inserted in his lower right leg during surgery, said Houston associate athletic director Chris Burkhalter.

Marshall coach Mark Snyder, safety C.J. Spillman and defensive end Albert McClellan visited Edwards on Wednesday.

?He was in good spirits,? Snyder said. ?We wanted him to know that he is part of our extended football family and that we are here to help him in any way we can.?

Marshall athletics spokesman Randy Burnside said the university?s insurance carrier will pay for Edwards? medical bills.

Edwards is expected to make a full recovery.

?The doctor said I will be good, ready for next season,? Edwards said.

AP Sports Writer John Raby contributed to this report.

tough streaks

tough streaks

hey freddog,

one thing that helps me when i hit a tough stretch is to stop over-thinking it, to treat my account as if i'm starting at zero, and to cut down on the number of my plays. obviously, $ management is always key. but for me, a cold spell is when quality **really** becomes a priority over quantity.

second, and this may seem too simple, but you truly can't go wrong tailing a few of the hot cappers here starting with some single-unit bets...building a little bankroll again ...and regaining some confidence. obviously, there are no locks, but a lot of these guys do very well pretty consistently and you might be able to turn your action around by weighing a few plays from some of the regulars.

i think we've all been there when it seems that no matter what you pick, it's wrong and that you might as well flip a coin. pull back a little, check the rest of the board, and hopefully things will turn for you quickly.:toast:

Justfootball, thatis a very good way to look at things.

The way I try to do things with my plays is this. In foots, I try to pick a certain number of plays every week. (Or close to the same number of games).Even though I cap every game. If I am going good I will add some. I take the winning streak and run with it. If I am going bad that day I back off. There is always next week. The next week I start the day off slow, (If I went bad the last week) If I start to roll I go for it. If not I just play the few I picked. The only thing if, you bet only football, there is a sense of urgency. That screws you up. Here is a story. I was talking to this guy one day. He is kind of like me. about betting. You don't let everyone in your normal life know what you do about betting. I would have never figured this guy this way. A bettor I mean. He told me he was down about 60K betting foots. I asked do you play any other sports he said no. Me I play just about everything. So I have time through out the year to be patient. He Don't. He has to try to cram it all in during foots. He is in a bad mood for a lot months waiting for foots. When that first game kicks off he is ready to kill. OR BE KILLED.

There is nothing wrong with coatailing a hot capper on this site. I do it myself. There are a lot of good cappers here at MJ's. Find 3 or 4 and watch them. When they are going good, get on for the ride. Nobody is perfect in the betting world. There are no locks.

Freddog good luck to you whatever you do.

Hang in there things will turn around.
You have the internet at your finger tips.
On paper Houston was definitely the play , but Marshall needed and wanted the win more. I played Houston - 7 1/2. I do more coatailing now than I do handicapping. There are so many great cappers on this site and other sites. Every Sat night I go back around and record their picks and see who is doing well. I do the same on Sunday night. Hang in there I have been there before.

the worst is if you start fading your own picks you will you picks will start winning (if that makes any sense) in other words you will keep losing .........good luck I do hear ya sometimes when I make bets and I absolutely hate the bet it wins so now I know if I hate it is a good bet:toast:  makes no sense but it works
