I really can't believe this. Everyone and their mother is picking the Eagles in the NFC East. I have seen the GIants picked as low as 3rd in NFC East. WTF!

The Eagles havent beaten NY SINCE 1996!!! Even when the GIants sucked they still beat the Eagles. THe Giants have the BEST FRONT 4 in the NFL, Strahan, Holmes, Barrow , Armstead...who will you double team? I guess big blue still wont get any respect, but wait and see, on the Monday Night Opener, when Denver gets their head cracked open by NYG, Greasy (hehehe) leaves the game with a concussion and a separated shoulder, b/c Strahan was in his ass all night, we all will see who the real deal is.

Believe it. With a healthy Staley, two legit NFL receivers, the Eagles will only be better than last year. McNabb is still pissed about what happened vs the Giants last year. He said that was his motivating force to go to Phoenix and work out in 105 degree heat this summer.

Giants will get run on all year. They lost Christian Peter who was the two-gapper on that D-line. Hamilton is like Warren Sapp in that he brings head but doesn't play the run really well. Who the heck is Brandon Short? You really expect him to play a good weak side linebacker? Not bloody likely.

The is no way in hell this front four is the best in the NFL. That is ludicrous. They will rush the passer but watch Mike Anderson (or Davis, if he starts) gain about 140 yards on them Monday night. I actually like Washington out of this division.

LOL...those last two posts are exactly what the Giants want people thinking. The Giants had the second best run defense in league last year...only the Ravens were better. I'll admit Christian Peter was an underrated part of the defense last year but losing him wont slow down this monster D. Brandon Short was one of the big play guys on that great Penn State defense from a couple years ago and i think he'll fit in nicely. No...the only way to get to this defense is through the air.

The only reason i give the Eagles a chance at the division is because the Giants play a ridiculously tough schedule. But it will come down to those two meetings and I think the New York defense will be to much again for McNabb to handle.

Like your passion Gravy...and pretty much agree with Hoya...The Giants own the Eagles and since they are the only competition in a bad NFC East see no reason they won't win it again. But their schedule is tough so I doubt they will get to the big game this year. Gmen always have a tough D and look for Collins and Dayne to have a big year. How they do early in this tough schedule will tell alot.
