Babe Ruth Hank Aaron Willie Mays Ty Cobb Bob Gibson

Dean Palmer Joe Dimagio Tony Gwynn etc......etc.......etc.........
There are so many to chose from I would feel bad to leave out someone. In todays time I would have to say
1. Mark McGuire
2. Sammy Sosa
3. a left hander from arizona that throws kinda hard.
of all the pre-1980 players I would have to say:
1.Hank Aaron
2.Willie Mays
3.Babe Ruth

how about some amateur guys?

you've seen more than me, but from this part of town the stories have:

1. Jay Franklin
2. Glen Davis
3. Michael Tucker

wonder how BJ Upton will fit into the mix? He's probably the most athletic player I've ever seen at that level.

I'll tell you who would be in my top 10 and is the most UNDER rated player in History.. Rickey Henderson.. This guy is first in SB, WALKS, LEAD-OFF HOMERS.. All kinds of stats.. Only if his attitude was different..

I'll never forget the night he broke Lou Brocks stolen base record b/c Nolan Ryan (another top 10) threw his 7th NO-NO that same night and stole the lime light from Rickey.. I still say he is one of my top 10 players of all time..

Why do people not steal 100 bases any more??.. Oh there's another stat he's the leader in.. (I think)

How the hell do you people put Hank Aaron and Willie Mays on the list without putting Barry Bonds atleast tied with them?? Barry Bonds is getting even less pitches to hit than Aaron or Mays ever had and he still got 12 homers this year. At the end stretch of Barry's record 73 last season when pitchers was rarely ever giving Barry decent ball to hit, and Barry hit them out anyways, Willie said he has never seen anything that incredible before.

No more 100 steals anymore are probably due to the home runs. Anyway, has anyone else imagined what Ruth might have done today if he had weight training and kept himself in shape. They would be chasing 800 homers. My top 3 are Ruth, his great pitching ability makes him a no-brain number 1. Willie Mays second. Had the park working against him thru his entire career. Third, i'd say Barry Bonds.

PS. Did I actually read Dean Palmer?
