Your worst day ever??

I am a VERY positive person! However, today was my worst day ever in gambling.

I don't post my picks much as it seems like a jinx for me. The last few weeks have been great!! I have been on fire in bases, and won apprx. 32 units.

Last night I spend 3 hours capping Sundays games. I usually only play 5-6 plays. I loved todays card so much that I had 12 solid selections!! Nice mix of good value dogs and solid low priced favs, even a total or two.

I LOST ALL 12 GAMES!!!

I'll get over it. I hope this post helps me with my mental recovery. Sorry to bitch, but 0-12 is too much.

Just couldn't read the game.
Not going to complain because the season has been good to me.

The odds for the NBA Finals is ridiculous!

Might have to take a long break until NFL.

now, psychologically speaking, if you only played 3 or 4 games, 0-4 would be your worst day, not as traumatic as the former.

seriously, now, a 0-12 makes a strong statement for you, as opposed to a 3-9 or a 4-8. those are bad cards. you picked them all!!!! think about it. no kidding around.

I'm feeling some of your pain, went 0-4 yesterday -6.95 after likewise having a good week. I think however the worst day that I ever had was 2-8 last baseball season. Do keep the chin up, everybody has days like yesterday.

January 1st, 1999, I went 0 - 5 on college bowl games for a dime each. That was my last day of playing that much money, I was absolutely devastated.

In 1996 or 1997 I once lost 17 games in a row in the NBA, over a 3 day span. Considering I was usually playing a nickel a game in those days, it was a very bad week.

It was more money than I could afford to lose and ever since then I play within my bankroll. My unit play is less than $100 and going 0 - 5 is just another day at the office. I don't like going 0 - 5, but I don't lose any sleep over it either.

Hard to believe.I would bet you never went 12-0 either.
12-7 thru 12-19 this year in NBA had one winning day in 13.Sorry NHL also.180 plays all together.One would think that in that many plays it would even out.Bad thing was I didn't back down thinking it couldn't keep going.

... on the other hand, about this time last year I had $8 left in one of my internet accounts, and I also had 8 baseball plays for the day. So I played and 8 way parlay in the short account and played all the games for $50 each in another account.

Damn if they didn't all win. The 8 way paid 150-1 for a smooth $1200 return + around $400 on the straight action.

Now, THAT was a pretty good day.

It was a poker game I was in about 10 years ago. No-Limit $2000 buyin. Played all day and night. It had been an up and down day. At one time I had 10K worth of markers in the game but during a good stretch I had bought them all back and they were in my stack with about $3500 as well. So I was up about $1500 for the day when earlier I was in danger of losing the 10K plus my 2K buyin.

The last hand of the marathon came about 6am the next day. It was 7 stud, heads up. I don't remember the early betting but on 5 street I made my queen high straight and was looking at his 6-6-10 he had up. I bet $200 and he comes overtop and makes a $2000 raise. I want the pot RIGHT NOW and go ALL IN. HE CALLS!! Turns out he has A-6 in the hole and catches a 10 on the river for the boat and the $27000 pot. UGH! It took me about 6 months to pay off the markers so my wife wouldn't know about it. That hand still gives me nightmares.

my worse day ever is every time i had to settle...or on the other side of the coin in the old days was some sob hit a 4 teamer for a dime on the night before settle day....but where all here still in the game...so we survive...somehow...being positive is a good step.

I once lost 22 consecutive hands at a blackjack table in Vegas. They were all for the same amount but, nonetheless (if I didn't already know), this is precisely why progressive double-down betting systems in gambling do not work. Oh, they make work for awhile. But, when the streak inevitably hits, you're finished. And it WILL hit. The reasoning is, "How could I possibly lose 8, 10, 15 games in a row?" The answer is: very easily.

I lost 17 grand in 2 weeks time....

I was on a run of 9 straight winning weeks and thought I was unstopable but it came to a quick halt. Probably the biggest mistake I've made to date as 2 years later im still paying it off but only have 1 G left to go.. But since then I've gotten smarter and learned a lot more and have been doing better and never plan on betting like I did then

I dunno how that will make you feel better but if you were on a nice roll and being smart and putting some away .. an 0-12 day will hurt but wont hurt that much.

Anyway we were competing in the Stardust Contest last year When he thought he had a shot of the weekly 10gs for the most winners (NFL/NCAA mixed Contest)
I told him he had no chance in hell with a certain pick he had capp'd. (forgot the teams but believe me in was more of a long shot than the 76ers were last night)

Anyway to make a long story short the team did win outright but still I had no faith in the "LOSER" we entered the Dust and bellied up to the counter on to see Bobs name up on the board.
Bob says "Hey check me out"

Last year during championship week in the NCAA tourney i was fooling around with this parlay...it came out to a 9 teamer and my book pays 300:1 on those so i dropped about 1/4 unit on it...and as that saturday rolled on 1 by 1 the games came thru....so far i was 8 for 8 and i was already spending the $$$$ before i had it. The last game was Notre Dame vs Miami in the big east tournament. I had the over 126 points. With 3 minutes left in a 60-59 game I was thrilled..i said close game...all i need is 8 points..they will foul and hit free throws, this is a lock....as the time ticked away....i saw missed layups...bad shots..missed free throws...and under 1 min left a N dame fould put miami on the line and the guy hits 1 out of 2. 61-59....NO ONE FOULED, ARE you kidding me, i wanted to kick in the big screen, i was fuming..3 minutes left and i got 1 stinking point!!! I felt sick...a 9 teamer....down the tubes...

Remember the madjax NBA contest 2 yrs ago? I was hoping we were gonna have it again this yr but anyway...
You had to pick a certain amount of games in the 2nd half of the season and could pick as many as you wanted to a day. So my friend wanted to reach his total quickly so he picked 14 plays. Some totals and some sides. He went 0-14!!!! 0-14 ATS!!!!!!! LMAO. I still bust on him for it. Freakin funny.
