i hate my play on this one because of the rivalry with my italian friends, but no chance to go any other way.

no reason why italy should allow the uncreative ukraine team to score.
italy has so much more obvious talent and creativeness, it's almost laughable to think why they struggled so badly vs the aussies.

in all 4 games, the italians have not allowed a single goal off the shoes of the opposition. this team has always been known for their defensive prowess, but this year's team has offensive talents that will get them by an overmatched ukrainian team.

luka toni has yet to score in these games, but along with lampard from england, these two have to be the unluckiest pair missing numerous chances.
not vs the ukes i believe.

totti.
toni.
gilardo.
gilardino.
inzaghi.
pirlo.

this team has so so so much talent.

lippi, unfortunately, seems to have been inclined to go back to a defensive structure (eventhough he promised not to do so) and has stiffled much of the offensive talents of his players resorting to defend their own end more and counterattacking.
look for the same in this game again as nesta is out with injury.

italy -1.85

for the record, italy has not lost an international match in 22 straight games.
thats impressive.

i know my italian friends yapped about how italy was eliminated from the eurocup without having a single defeat.

all in all, the better team.
the better defense.
the better goalie.
the better coach.

best of luck.
