Zaga +1 over Texas ****
Have a ticket to tonites game BUT I have to baby sit grandchildren . My wife already volunteered me to babysit. " honey I have season tickets ,this game has been circled by everyone for over a year" But her answer was " too bad" . You just went to see Baylor football Saturday night,and went to the Texas home basketball game this week , Saturday your going to see Tex St in football . Two weeks ago you went San Antonio to see North Texas play .. wow she listed some more.. Don't have a good defense vs Her. I tried a box and one,zone ,full court diamond press. She wins... I babysit but I can watch the game on TV. I sound like a tough guy but she rules a little bit more then me.
Last yr Texas played Zaga up there in Washington and the crowd before the game started a chant " you can't guard him " referring to Timme. And they were right. Texas lost and Timme went off with 37 points .He has the headband and mustache but he can score inside and outside and don't think Texas has the front-line defense to stop him.. and if they do he just wonders out for a 3. . They pounded the ball inside last year and Texas defense in the paint couldn't stop them .Again tonite although Zags lost there 7'0 Holmgreen and outstanding pt gd in Nembard they have been replaced. Zaga has skilled players and are athletic. And play defense. There outside shooting looked suspect in last game vs Mich St but that was outside on an air craft carrier. Ans speaking of outside shooting Texas missed open 3's all day with no pressure on them. They were 7-36 from the 3 and all 37 shots were wide open misses vs UTEP and Houston Christian.
Texas does have length and are athletic Hunter is outstanding a great pick up from Iowa St. They have 4 newcomers that are all talented and playing in a better environment at Moody where on one side the students are near the court. Zaga came from behind and beat Mich St the other day. Think its a close game but Zaga has some experience coming back and playing away in this new Texas hostile place will have little effect. Dam playing outdoors on an air craft carrie did'nt .
Bolton, Strawther and the others can score and play defense. I will be sitting in my season seat cheering on the Longhorns.. opps I will put those 2 little girls to bed ,feed them ,read them a story and run down stairs to my sons 55' inch TV and chant very quietly " you can't guard him" Zaga wins a close game . And in my head I see Texas missing open uncontested shots like they did there past 2 games. But Texas has a good team and I like Beard a lot but not tonite. And Zaga an underdog no way
