Akron -4 , So far Akron has been vulnerable to teams with a strong inside presence. Toledo does not fit that profile. The Zips were right there late at Toledo before falling and the tables will turn on the Rockets on Monday. Akron is a much better team than the one that traveled to Toledo early in the season and I'll be surprised if this number does not move upward soon.

Like this one a lot :)

Didn't Jeremiah Wood miss the 1st game at Toledo also?

I believe it was the first game he missed, as I recall. Just know for sure that he did not play.

toledo is finally starting to turn it on, but could never trust 'em on the short turnaround while akron has been sitting idle for a couple days to prepare for this one.

incidentally, was reading a local article on the mac coach of the year race. the writer of the piece said its a wide open race with dambrot, christian, coles, o'shea, and buckley (from ball st). now call me crazy, but anyone besides dambrot or o'shea would be a damn travesty. to me, its dambrot's to lose and the only other guy i think is worthy is o'shea because ou has totally turned their season around. but christian or coles? gimmie a break.

Absolutely agree with you G, I have always been a big O'Shea critic in the past because he has had some pretty damned good teams that always seemed to under achieve. I give him lots of credit though for his job well done this year. Dambrot has been simply amazing though, right now, barring a titanic crash and burn, I think the award is his hands down.
