Round 1 plays (1pt):

Todd Hamilton to beat Philip Schmitt -108 @ Five Dimes
13 missed cuts from 14 Tour starts is enough reason to oppose Schmitt. He may be a local player, but he has missed the cut in three previous appearances in this event and even Hamilton should beat him

Lucas Glover to beat Chad Campbell -120 @ Bet365
Plenty of stats in Glover's favour: he has finished 3rd & 8th on this course, whereas Campbell is making his debut and, since the start of last season, Glover holds a 15-4-4 first round h2h lead over him

Kenny Perry to beat Chad Campbell -120 @ Carib
Similar reasons here with Perry leading the head-to-head stats and, although he finished 66th on this course last year, he was struggling at the time - it was the only cut he made in a two-month period that included two withdrawals

Mark Calcavecchia to beat Mike Weir -110 @ Five Dimes
And here. Calc finished 5th last year, while Weir is another making his course debut. With the season-opening Mercedes-Benz Championship being the last time that Weir beat Calc in the first round, this match shouldn't be pick'em

Tim Clark to beat Zach Johnson -110 @ Five Dimes
Clark has been in the better form this year and is another with course form (21st in 2005) playing against an opponent without any. It is over six months since Johnson beat Clark in the first round and the streak should last another week

Round 1 matchup:

Paddy Harrington -130 over Stewart Cink

Cink may have the edge in current form, but he's coming off a long week at Doral and playing the TPC LA for the first time. Harrington is rested and has put up 2 quality finishes in his last 2 jaunts to the Big Easy, including a t9 at the TPC.

Added reasoning:

Headed out there now to follow this group (Cink, Harrington, Chopra) - will begin heckling Stewart if things start to go poorly

Playing this one for 5 units

And as always, good luck no matter which golfers you choose

Round 2 plays (1pt):

Jason Gore to beat Dustin Johnson -118 @ Five Dimes
Opposing Johnson who is very good at following good opening rounds with good 2nd rounds, but also at following bad opening rounds with bad ones. He has been outside the top-100 after 18 holes twice this year and shot 75-76 in the 2nd round

John Mallinger to beat Woody Austin -105 @ Carib
Apart from the fact that Mallinger ranks 23rd in 2nd round scoring average this year, over two shots better on average than Austin who ranks 112th, Austin's record when in this position is very poor. He is currently in 9th place - he has been within two places of this position on four occasions within the last year and has finished the 2nd round in 53rd, 34th, 25th and 25th place

Kenny Perry to beat Woody Austin +100 @ Pinnacle
Similar reasons for opposing Austin here. And in terms of their head-to-head record, Perry has dominated in every department except the final round this year: Austin has finished ahead of him at the end of the event just once in five events this year; just once in the first round this year; just once in the second round this year; and never in the third round this year

Harrington overcomes a disatrous start to get the check in Round 1

Round 2:

Why is Chad Campbell, 41st in the Fed-Ex Cup standings, a slight dog to Lucas Glover, who's 131st in the standings? Simple - course knowledge

Glover has played well at the TPC LA with top 10 finishes in his last 2 trips - Chad's 1st competitive round at the TPC was yesterday and he apparently didn't find it to his liking - was out there yesterday and some of the holes that are playing into the wind are playing LONG, not ideal for Campbell, who's driving distance doesn't rank well - think Lucas makes a run at the cut today while Chad fades away and misses the weekend handily

5 units Lucas Glover -115 over Chad Campbell

As always, good luck

Was watching some golf this afternoon... Did anyone else catch Bubba lashing out at Elk for walking when he was standing over his ball? Then proceeded to call him a few names. Then Elk tried to talk to him walking up to the green and Bubba basically told him to F*ck off.

On a side note, it's really tough to watch the golf channel show Davis Love now a days. This guys swing is all over the place and can't make a putt outside 3 feet.

Round 3 play (1pt):

Peter Lonard to beat Briny Baird -110 @ WSEX [widely available]
Opposing Baird in this final group matchup. The last time that he held the lead in a Tour event, he shot 78 in the 3rd round and fell to 43rd. Compare that to Lonard who averages 69.5 when 2nd after 36 holes across all Tour and on the PGA Tour alone, he has never fallen outside the top-5 after the 3rd round when starting it in 2nd place
