Rose -130 vs Garica (72)

Where is everyone? This is my last bet, unless something with an injury pops up.

This week's look list was CH3 30-1, Poulter 17.5-1, Davis 80-1, Badds 85-1, Joe Olgilvie 170-1, and my choice---Betfair odds Monday night.

Sabbatini to win 41.00 sia

Let's look at this one by one. CH3 won twice before, and is getting very hot right now. When Charles warms up he can birdie in great bunches. I liked his interview last week, he talked confidently and he had that look, you know the look.

I didn't think I would side up with Poulter soon or ever again, but he is not the golfer he was last year or the previous five years. I wouldn't argue with him, it might just be him and Tiger only, like he said once. He is a very rightous golfer, as he has grown up, very precise, and fun to watch.

Davis and Badds, based on last weeks performance. Badd tends to run streaky, and Davis I think, does also. I'm not too hip on Davis.

Olgilvie is the joker here. Long odds for a guy who has won before, once I think, and is fairly warmish, not to mention his performance here last year. I wanted to taake a stab here but my book thinned the odds too much.

I don't know what to think about Sabb right now. I do know he kills this layout and wins every time he goes white hot. I might be a week or a few weeks early here, but he's showing all the signs he has in the past, the last few times he won. I used to like him as a person, I'm not so sure now. I'm thinking he's moody and gives up mid-round when things don't go his way. I'm taking him off my Christmas card list. The last two times he won, I was on him, I thank him for that.

Charles Howell 3 over Choi +100

Normally, yeah, Choi should be the favorite. Right now, no way, the wrong guy is favored. Choi is on a heater of sorts right now, he is a machine. And that's part of the problem for him. His machine like play and demeanor limit his choices. Howell, on the other hand, is loose and playing better than ever. It's obvious he wants to win more. He knows he could fade off into obscurity, if he doesn't take advantage of these periods. He doesn't want to be JJ Henry's roommate or Bo Van Pelt's road dog. It's time to step up.

Howell 25-1 win, 12 1/2 place, 6 show

Rose 30-1 win, 15-1 place, 7 1/2 show

Watson 40-1 win, 20-1 place, 10-1 show

Baird 80-1 win 40-1 place, 20-1 show.

I posted Poulter 10 minutes ago, but just now edited my post as he withdrew this afternoon due to knee injuries.

I have wasted several thousand dollars on Baird the last few years, but I just think he has to be due one of these days.
As always....good luck to all!

I know the feeling. I feel the same way about Bo Van Pelt, Rod Pampling, and Baird also. They each have won a few m/u's for me, but lost more than winning. I don't think they're turkeys, they just make me feel like a chump while backing them.

Round 1 play (4pts):

John Senden to beat Bryce Molder -105 @ Bet365
Molder has certainly put himself on the golf betting radar with four top-10 finishes in his last seven starts, but beneath his scoring stats he has not been striking the ball particularly well recently: in his last four events he missed the cut and then ranked 54th, 38th and 66th in greens in regulation of the 70 or so players that did make the cut. And the TPC Louisiana is a course on which hitting the greens in regulation is the most important aspect of the game. In the three years that this course has hosted this event, the winner has been ranked 1st, 3rd and 9th in greens in regulation, so it may be little wonder that Molder has missed the cut on both occasions that he has played here, averaging 74.50 around this course. That compares with Senden who has finished 34th and 12th and always ranks highly in the greens in regulation stats. He appears the more likely to secure the top-10 finish this week.

[unofficial rd1 system play: Kelly tb Weekley -110]

Im assuming the reason the line moved..
At last week's Verizon Heritage, Ryuji Imada returned after taking time off with broken ribs. The former University of Georgia star didn't know what caused the injury, but they had been hurting for a couple months. He finally went to the doctor and was told the only solution was rest.

Imada's left ribs had been hurting for weeks, but he continued to play. Why? Primarily because he was playing well at the time and didn't want to step away. He tied for 15th at Riviera and tied for 14th in Phoenix before putting down the clubs. He went two weeks without playing, spending time at his home in Tampa. He tried to come back at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and tied for seventh, but he was still hurting and didn't play in Houston, even though a win would have enabled him to return to the Masters.

Imada came back at Hilton Head, feeling strong again -- and missed the cut. He's back in the field for this week's Zurich Classic of New Orleans.

Biggest bet of the week is Rose over Serg.

Although the other 2 combined would cost me a losing week.. so 2 - 1 would be nice.
