Funny stat for those who follow recruiting: USC got more Top 100 players than the entire ACC.

Of course the Sec dominated recruiting.

Also, I never knew about the quality of GA football until I saw how many kids got rides from here. Growing up CA all we heard about was Cali, FL, and TX.

I'm not sure they will be under rated......they will be in the top 10 if not the top 5 and they are still young......They have depth at RB behind Slaton.....but I was really impressed with LSU in their Bowl game against Miami......LSU will be a tough out as long as they settle on a QB before the season starts....ala tennessee

LSU will, and always have had a great D....With losing Jamarcus, that's going to be tough so take away prolly like 7 points to they're ave a game scoring points....I'm kinda leaning toward that they are going to be over rated due to the way they played against Miami....but that's just me....

I feel like it's going to be interesting to watch what Tennesee produces next year, if they are still over rated or if they are underrated due to they're previous history.....

I feel like there will be some money to be made on them again.....ALL the analysts in the world will be talking about how they did last season....THE WHOLE DAMN NEXT SEASON....so it should be interesting

No I'm not saying that......I think West Virginia will be good but I don't think they will be under rated like you said......They will be big favorites in the Big East and will be ranked in the top 10 to start the season......WV is a very fast team and if Pat White can stay healthy(runs alot and takes alot of hits), they most likely run the big east with possible road blocks against Louisville(a year under brohm's belt) and dare i say Wanstache and Pitt in the back yard brawl.....

I bet on games, not rankings. AP loves Notre Dame, I don't like my odds.

Pre-season rankings are part of what's wrong with cfb anyway. No rankings should come out until mid-October.

I agree AU I dunno what has been said....However, NDU is in my top 3 till the end of the season....remeber this is Weis 2nd year, if he was able to do what he was able to do with what he had this past year, imagine what he will do this next year.....Its almost like NDU needs just one more piece to the puzzle and my prediction is that I bet he either fixes the piece or he finds it.....

Dice....what I mean about WVU is that they will not get a whole lotta respect from the start....I feel like they will need to beat someone spectacular or have a 6 or 7-0 record before they get ranked in the top 3. Which I think is very possible....Hell I'll go out on a limb right now and say it, I think because of they're weak schedule they will prolly go undefeated in the big east if not the whole season..... Also I expect Vtech to still be good, they will find a GOOD QB and they will have solid D and I expect they will be under rated top 15 team....

I will also say this, I have no freakin idea how people can say Texas will be the same team....JUST WON"T HAPPEN....They will prolly still win most of they're easy damn schedule, but they will not be the same PERIOD....However, USC I feel like will be really decent, I don't know how but some how some way they find a way to recruit the BEST PLAYERS IN THE COUNTRY!!!!....And the laziest....

My upset teams.....Tennesee possibly(strong D) Vtech, and Tex A & M.....I LOVE THEY"RE WHITE QB scramblin what he did against Tex....IF he is back and plays he will be a very under rated QB that will not only cover but give GREAT TEAMS FITS....If he plays against Tex next year I will say this now A & M wins it....

Yeah. texas should probably be in at least Top 5, but the absence of Young will have a huge impact on their pre-season rankings. I do not believe a team should be ranked #1 in the following season after a NC based solely on that. And I think we all agree that Young carried that great team.

I am in the camp that there should be no such thing as pre-season rankings. Two cases in my personal conference: Tennessee #3 last year and Auburn #18 two years ago. It just doesn't do any good to have these, and they're really not based on anything that matters to this year of football.

Great point and I agree...but since there is pre-season rankings...your right about Young but Texas should be number 1 just based on their win streak which I know is a weak argument but you can't name another team with that kind of win streak still going...and a I a firm believer in your at the top until someone knocks you off...but I think its safe to say that Texas isn't going to roll the table this season again

Dawgball, why is everyone so big on Florida next season?...The Gators are going to be a pretty solid team but they didn't show me anything of being a top 5 caliber team for this coming season...could it be cause of the hype of their recruiting class?...I'm just not sold on them as a top fiver
