P&G is up over 1% today, everyone will have to re-buy all their products...just adding some levity to the situation
Chadman said:Well, it sounds like we were going to have some planes blowing up in a few days, and if they weren't acting on this info and precautions, I guarantee you I would be blasting away at their lack of preparedness and thoroughness until they know for sure (or as best they can) if there were/are more in the plans.
Sounds like a job very well done by whomever was in charge of this stuff. I assume it was the same people i have been pretty critical of over the past few months/years. I think erring on the side of safety and security - at least for a few days or so - makes a helluva lot of sense to me.

You got the guys you were after, let the rest of the world keep turning!

Come on man, give em some credit. They got 21 people, but they weren't sure how far it extended. I seriously doubt othat only 21 were involved.yyz said:Bullshit!

Where do you draw the line? What becomes"too much"?
Hey, if a guy walks in the bank, and pulls a gun, the cops don't start frisking every customer who walks through the door. It would provide "security", though!
Airports seem to be the only place this happens.

Let this thing breathe a little before flying off the handle. The important thing is that whatever was planned didn't happen.
Good point. Something about airplanes and airports that will always be regarded apart from everything else. It's not logical, it just is.kosar said:I agree that the intel services in Britain, America and apparently Pakistan did a fine job.
I just think the response was disproportionate (buzzword of the month).
Trains blow up in Spain and London. Nothing.
Resort in Egypt. Nothing.
Hotel in Jordan. Nothing.
And those were things that actually happened.
But now that there is a plot exposed overseas, all hell breaks loose in our airports.
Hey, if the shlt hit the fan, I know you'd be in the trenches with me - vice versa. We just process information a little different sometimes.AR182 said:i can't believe this..i finally agree with you with on something on this forum...
i guess there is hope for me after all (lol).
