look...i`m a reasonable guy....here`s an idea....

what they need to do is that while we're waiting in line at the security checkpoints, we`re given paper and coloring pencils.....everyone is told to draw a "mohammed" cartoon, with different categories allowed (rude, amusing, artistic, etc).....

anyone who doesn't do one is refused entry onto the plane.....then, on the plane we all decide on the best one and the winner can choose an item (booze, perfume, whatever) from the duty-free trolley....

whattaya think?

Some quick thoughts on today s excitement.

1) is there any possible way we can take these 30 + cocksuckers to about 40000 feet and just through them out the escape hatch, I mean since they like danger on planes so much. Saving the tax payers on trial.

2) can't Bush just give the Arabs back our ports, so we can fly in peace.

3) On a serious note huge props to MI-5, AND CIA. do the math, this easily could have been worse than 9-11. On September 11 the bombers purposely picked flights with low population, so they could easily overcome passengers & gain control of airplane. These planes were chosen because they were very high population 300-400 passengers.

Thinking of my first trip on a plane many years ago. When folks still could smoke, got free drinks and peanuts. There was not much but news papers and magazines to read. Not all this chit folks drag on now. Lap tops, I pods, cell phones. It was almost peaceful. Looks like were headed back there. We all can sit around in our under ware. Not so bad after all.

The only lives we're losing, are in a war we shouldn't be fighting, if our leader don't want to win the fukking thing.

And taking my water bottle saved how many lives today? Oooooooooh, Dubya showed 'em today!

And guys saying, "We'll do this for a few days, and then get everything back the way it was."

Well, if that's the case, what's the point? All of the sudden you can't make a bomb out of liquids and electronics?

I'd still be more worried about walking down your street, than waking through the airport.

its guys like Eddie Haskill who would rather us have little old ladies give up their toothpaste and dentures than to search every arab man age 15-55 who gets on an airplane which would give us any resemblance of real safety

pure idiocy and lunacy thanks to the ACLU and looney leftist PC crowd

Don't know what Haskels stance on this is, but I agree with your 'profiling' premise.

The whole f*ucking aviation industry was at barely more than a standstill today as men dug through their bathroom kits at the x-ray machine looking for mouthwash.

I agree with the arab-profiling stance, as well. It's a necessary evil, and if they just focused on those they should be focusing on, it wouldn't cause many problems in terms of lines rather than the charade that goes on in those security lines now.

When I was flying over New Year's, I had about a five-inch pocket knife in my bag that I'd gotten as a gift for Christmas, and forgot about it. They busted me with it in the regular old screening process that they used pre-9/11.

garden, this has pushed me over the edge. I'm now profiling everything. I hope the big Russian knocks Hasim Rahman into next week Saturday night. Dam it, how else can the normal guy get some revenge.

My guess is that sooner or later we will have to profile. Not sure what this Right Wing Government is waiting for.

i would love to see one JUST ONE presidential candidate to run on common sense defense using profiling at airports instead of searching granny's purse etc

then he would get crucified by the media and leftist looney ACLU

but would the public give him the vote?

would be worth a try

Freeze,

I agree with your idea, but I have yet to see one politician of any bent suggest profiling. That goes for the 'leftist loonies', the ACLU and the 'religious whackos.' Or the chickenhawks.

Whether you choose to see it or not, these political 'groups' are all equal on this subject.

The 'loonies' and the ACLU do not have as much power as you give them credit for.

The House, the Senate and the White House are in Republican hands. They can pretty much do what they want.

Why won't they speak out on this issue?

shammy,my brotha...if this fight goes the distance,then i`m becoming a democrat.....

if this thing goes 12,then my boxing handicapping ability is kaput....

i`m a mere pimple on the ass of humanity....and you have my permission to fly over my house with a fire-fighting plane filled with oxy-10....

i can`t see this thing going 12...these guys are hardly slick...footwork and defense aren`t their game...and both are big punchers...with chins that have been had.....

they`re older than they were for the first go-round...

i`m exaggerating a bit...but,i don`t see this going 12...

the o/u is only 9.5, though...i`m looking for an angle...

because they will get crucified by the media and leftist loonies will immediately call for their resignation, censure, etc. etc.

no politician on the right/perceived right will dare say anything politically incorrect these days

for one, he will immediately put his comfortable career in danger and for two no one wants the grief

we dont have any real leaders anymore and its sad

I agree these extra precautions long term, don't do much. Aside from annoying travelers. Some common sense "profiling" or whatever you want to call it, makes more sense.

In the mean time passengers should setup a sharing system. People arriving at airports should walk by the security lines and pick up toothpaste and other "liquids" from departing passengers. And those departing passengers would do the same upon landing. BRILLIANT.

I'll be damned if I'm going to tolerate TSA workers striking it rich and being in toiletry heaven the rest of their lives.
