buy it to 3 pts and play it big

You like it big at 3 but not at 4? That makes no sense. If you like it big at 3 then buying down the point shouldn't be necessary. This isn't the NCAA football forum is it?

Five of last 6 decided by six points or fewer, duke will try to force the game into a halfcourt set. UNC will obviously want to run. We'll see but I'd lay the 4 in a heartbeat.

i wouldn't be surprised to see them drop 5 in a row with the next 3 being nc, @maryland, and @bc. the next 5 to end the regular season could be tough as well, with gt, @clem, @st johns, maryland, and @nc.

when i want advice on betting from a dentist i will ask it. i would think you would throw down your whole bankroll seeing how " duke is the most over ranked team in the country" according to your earlier post. for me i will not give duke 4 pts on their own home court . they will try to keep the score in the 60's. i will either buy it down or more likely play the tarholes on ml.

philosophical question from a duke fan... how do you go into a game knowing that it's 2 to 1 duke loses...? you want to cheer for them but you know the smart play is UNC ML... i hate to not play it cause if duke loses then i will have just missed out on the UNC $. and it's impossible to escape it... if i go out, it's on at the bar, if i go to a friend's house, they're watching it... the total? i guess i can just bet the total... 141.5. over? under? over? under? first half? second half? i hate north carolina.

The Money will be on the road chalk , let's just hope that the boy's don't come down with the same affliction they came down with @ NC ST & Vt. Wouldn't be surprised to see DK win by 10+ in this spot. This game sets up great for the house. You have a highly ranked team going on the road against a team that has a strong group of anti backers and is down right now. This is how I see it. All that anti Dk money & that over confident highly biased NC money will poor in and the big arm will come out and sweeeeep the table clean and send the masses home shaking their heads to the joy of our friend Dicky V.:00hour...... The way this game is being bet early, why play the game ? The smart money will be on the (ML) . It's all Duke Baby ! This game has trap all over it.

I don't see how me saying "I'd lay the 4 in a heartbeat" is contrived to mean i'm going to "throw down my whole bankroll. "I'd" stands for I would, not I will or I did. I'm not betting on the game because I want to enjoy it.

At the time I wrote it, duke was the most overrated team in the country at 6 or whatever they were. That was affirmed by their losses to uva and fsu.

Bryanz, I feel the same way and just don't know.

I capped it at 6 before line came out, so I wasn't too far off. Still, that is a significant difference.

I feel like its a trap. I lost 2 similar games Saturday. I took UNC against State even though line looked fishy. I also took MichSt against OhioSt b/c I thought it was a trap and lost.

So, sometimes its just hard to tell what a trap is and isn't. Or, morel likely, there are traps that teams can manage not to get caught in.

I can't give Duke points at home against a young team. I will most likely play UNC ML for 2-3 units.

When you cap a game and your to high in a spot like this, it's for a reason. Take Dk and the points and call it a day !

I can't believe some people are so blinded in this spot and can't imagine NC losing, why is everyone buying it down and playing the money line ? The right side Dk.
