Texas St -3.5 over Rice ***
was offered tickets to the game but its in Dallas since I'm season ticket holder to Tex St. Love Kinne the new coach. He came here 2 years ago as the coach of Incarnate word and with his qb blew out Tex St . Then after everyone realized his quick hitting offense was more then Cameron Ward his IC qb. He has Finley a trans fer from Auburn who has led Tx St this year over 2,400 yds passing and 24 tds He also has Mahdi a transfer from Houston Christian at rb that had 1,200 yds rushing . Rice is playing in its 1st bowl game since Pearl Harbor was attacked. They are 6-6 but they have Padgett a back up qb starting for the 1st time He saw action during the year and was a decent backup and won vs FAU in last start. Both teams can score and both defenses are their weak points. I like the Bobcats with Finley at qb and its a 1st bowl game for Tex St in years. Rice has played well losing to Houston in OT,UTSA SMU and Tulane . And those games were close losses. But Think Tex St and Kinne with his offense win the 1st responder Bowl ..Go Bobcats
