Any dates set for this, yet?

My calendar is filling up for the summer (kids and work travel are a killer to a social calendar!), so I will be hit/miss whether I can attend or not.

Quite the opposite.

Lets just say, I don't think I'd be gettin a good nights sleep at the Days Inn out on Route 65.

(imagine Eddie start to daydream at his computer)

Days Inn night manager, Gomer Platt talking to Warren County, Kentucky sheriff Buford Pusser in the parking lot of the Days Inn on the Sunday morning following Madjacks 2nd annual golf outing:

"Well, Sherriff, I saw, these two gentlemen, dressed in white robes with white hoods carrying this skinny looking, northern aclu lawyer type, kicking and a screaming off to there pick-up truck about 3 AM"

"Damn yankees, causing more trouble," noted Buford in disgust. "Did the yankee say anthang," queried Sheriff Pusser.

"Well, he had duck tape over his mouth, but I heard him say "Wayne, you're a liar" then the little, scrawny guy hit him over the head with a brief case and all these insurance policies fell out".

Pusser further asked, "One was smaller than the other?"

"Yeah", Platt continued, "the big guy was about 6' 5" and the other one was a lot smaller."

"How bout da, pick-up?" asked the sheriff.

Gomer thought for a moment, then replied,

"it was red and rusty, with a gun rack. It had kentucky plates and it had something hand painted on the door. I think it said:

"midwest states ensurants"

Gomer continued "...it also had a Fox news bumper sticker and a link to a web site nobody ever heard of."

"Well, this is one for the ages," said the Sheriff. "Case closed, looks like the yankee done gone off and left." "No crime here," concluded 8 term Sheriff Pusser. "Right," agreed fellow Republican Gomer Platt.

What about Chicago?

Got just the place that would make you feel at home here-Edward--make sure you bring wife and kids--lots of recreation for them -security (bars on every window)while your teeing it up--have them bring their running shoes :)

You da man Handicapper--can someone post map there at some point in time.

I'm in for Belterra, but I (like many others) need the dates set ASAP. Please don't pair me up in a cart with RollTide again, I'd like to remember the outing this time....working multiple beers, mixed drinks, and a bloody mary made things kind of forgettable.

Out of those, July is the worst month for me. The others are all non-eventful with work and further in the future for planning. :)

july or early august would be my vote, but I'm probably more flexible in my schedule than anyone (that actually works) :mj07:

I can still remember you passed out in 18 fairway:142smilie

--and yes Roll Tide had a bar on wheels--and was and more than generous bar tender. :)

If the outing is withing driving range of Cincinnati, it don't much matter to me. If I can leave on a Saturday morning and still make the event, it still don't matter much to me.

However, if I have to be there on a friday night, then I opt for any weekend before Ohio high school football starts. With a great deal of parental pride, little Eddie was voted captain of his high school football team this year by his teamates and I ain't missing any of his games. A chip off the old block if I do say so myself.

So friday nights after mid august are out for me. Not missing the glory of the high school gridiron especially for this bunch of lugheads. I believe last year the season started the last weekend of August. So my vote is anytime before mid-August unless its at Belterra, Crossville (Tennessee) or some other place that I can drive too on Saturday morning.

I see no problems here with August 2nd. Just so I know, Jack.....Belterra is offering to put us up, lets say..on Satuday, the 2nd.....I know people like me who will be taking Friday off of work for driving purposes, will need a place to stay for Friday night too. Does anyone know the rates for 1 night at Belterra and if dropping the Madjack name will get us any kind of discount for the Friday night stay?

Yes, just ease up to the desk clerk and softly whisper madjack and not only will you get another nights room comped, they will send a hooker up to your room.
