I see no problems here with August 2nd. Just so I know, Jack.....Belterra is offering to put us up, lets say..on Satuday, the 2nd.....I know people like me who will be taking Friday off of work for driving purposes, will need a place to stay for Friday night too. Does anyone know the rates for 1 night at Belterra and if dropping the Madjack name will get us any kind of discount for the Friday night stay?
maybe they will comp 2 nights

we'll find all that out as soon as we make a definite date and we have to do that soon for our own plans and for the rooms/golf.

Belterra and the first weekend in August is fine for me. I will not need a room as I will commute from Cincinnati. I will participate in the golf outing as well as any insults, mockery, or other ballbusting.

With reference to any non-gambling social planning, I know this is not a big deal, but in checking the Reds schedule, they are out of town that weekend. Also if bringing family (alright, I know thats a ridiculous thought) Kings Island amusement park is just north of Cincinnati.

Not that anyone would be interested, but the Bengals may begin there pre-season that friday night if anyone would rather go to see a game at PBS (not sure when preseason begins but its around the first weekend in August). I have access to 4 tickets if they are at home that night. Schedule comes out in mid-April.

I can also arrange sightseeing tours of famous local landmarks like 1) the parking lot where Bob Huggins got pulled over after his DUI arrest and puked all over himself 2) Carmen Electra's high school, and 3) the downtown cigar shop where I see Oscar Robertson smoking a cigar about once a month. You ain't gonna find those kind of attractions in Bowing Green, Kentucky or Columbus, Indiana, no siree, Bob.

i'm also thinking we should tee off around 3pm, giving people a lot of time to drive there the day of the tourney.

i'll look into having some sort of basic dinner and drinks catered by the golf club afterwards.

then get whacked in the casino that night.

how's all that sound?

:00hour

maybe we can get our own poker table too in the poker room that night ;)

I'm in for the weekend of the 2nd of August as well. It was a good time last year, just needed more sleep and shorter commute to enjoy the evening festivities, and need to stay away from the back of RollTides truck before golf. :mj07:

2-3 o'clock start time would be great. Agent, you need to be there. ScottATL, want to share a ride? You need to be there as well. No excuses. :nono:

I was going to suggest possibly having a private poker tourney, if possible, somewhere. Maybe at the golf course clubhouse??
